And remember, they are playing for their fricking city. There is a lot more riding on this series for the sox, not just a ring you fricktard. Get some perspective.

You really expect Boston players to come out and completely agree with the call in post game interviews? These are just heat of the moment comments. Any team would react the same way after losing a World Series game like that.

So these guys' entire lives boil down to this Series, as far as their profession goes, and you can't understand why their responses aren't rational and logical? If you can't empathize with them being come over with emotion on the biggest stage in the world when a game ends the way it ended, you need to wake the frick up. They're making millions and the best in the world and you're at home writing about it on the Internet. Don't be so stupid.

IMO Middlebrooks didn't really do much to try and interfere except be in the baseline.
Craig certainly seemed to step on him on purpose to get the call. All in all it was a heads up play by Craig, because it was definitely interference regardless of if he tried to interfere or not

middlebrooks was not in the base line he was on the 2nd base side of the bag,
The path from the 3rd base bag to home was clear.

Someone doesn't understand how the baseline works.

the runner defines the baseline, not the foul lines.

The main thing is this. It doesn't matter if it was intentional or not. If Middlebrooks is lying there dead and the runner's path to the plate is OBSTRUCTED, the call is made. It was. Cards win....much to my chagrin.

You can say the same for the Cardinals. They're playing for the memory of the greatest player in their franchise history.

And comments like this is why you are making a fool out of yourself. Stop it or at least learn what the baseline is. Foul line and baseline are not the same thing.
