Did he run to media about it? I never heard he was even upset about it till this. Seems like while he was hurt he still acted professional when it came to doing his job in the future and never called anyone out

I had heard about it, but I got the impression (especially after hearing the PR guy talk about it in this doc) that he avoided the media on purpose so he didn't ruin the moment for the team. I don't think he carried it later on either, he was just upset in the moment

It's awesome he got a ring after being on such shite teams his whole career

I don't why this documentary was two hours long. They could have easily cut the fat and made it a 60 or 90 minute program. They should have spent 5-10 minutes on the Bears after the Super Bowl and then wrapped it up.

That last segment alone was worth watching all o it. Watching those tough guys cry over buddys letter was incredible piece to show the love they have for him

That, my friends, is what football is all about. Even as an Oilers fan I hate Buddy Ryan, I respect what he meant to those guys.

All I know is Buddy could've one the super bowl with the Bears without Ditka. If Buddy was hired as the head coach they probably would've had the 3-peat

The more recent stuff about this team made it more interesting to me. Wrapping it up after the Super Bowl win would have made this mostly a rehash of everything that's been done before.

ETA: Buddy's letter was great

its not that hard to figure out though. They have been a celebrated team for awhile now and are well known.

this piece was supposed to also cover some things that might not have covered before.

Mad props to Otis Wilson for laying some major pipe in chi-town in ' 85 ... And being unapologetic about it.

my dad says this was back when he NFL was still a mans league, he's right. No one plays defense anymore and the run game is dead.

Sad how fantasy football and weasel frick lawyers ruined the NFL.

Otis is the all-time favorite Bear of the woman who cuts my hair. She's said for years he is one of the only men she would leave her husband for.

She was in her mid-20s in '85, so I've always been afraid to ask her specifically why he's her favorite.

No way...Ditka was the guru on offense and Buddy was the man on defense. They needed each other to make the team run...what was so great about them was they got out each others way and let them do their thing.

Man, this show brought back great memories...this was during the time I was in high school...never missed a Bear game...the commercials, the posters, the characters on that team. What a time to follow the Bears!

Oh, I think their Super Bowl Rings are the best...simple and classic.

he could have been sort of shocked by the moment though.. I mean where do you go once you reach the top? He was getting old and he probably knew that was gonna be as good as it got?

or maybe not.

why don't you ask him.

This was the best one yet, I couldn't turn away, wish it was 3 hours long, terrific show last night.

LOL.... "We'd walk into the club and there'd be a girl at 10 o'clock, 11 o'clock, 12 o'clock..... And sometimes I'd take em' all at the same time!" -Otis Wilson

I think it was Fencik but he basically said if social media existed in 1985 then the entire Bears team would have been banned or suspended.
