I could see Aldridge having the humility to return. Would suck if they made some bad moves thinking he was leaving though.

Everyone wants to count out Portland w/ Aldridge -- don't do it yet. Blazers still make a compelling basketball case, still pay most money
I don't see why he's so intent on leaving in the first place. It aint like they were the TWolves with Love.

Aldridge was floored in a good way by Houston's analytics, on-court projections in their presentation. Not so with the Lakers.

If he's ring - chasing HOU is the best option. I don't think there's any way he comes to HOU though.

Byron Scott dimmed the lights and showed him 80s reel to reel footage of the Lakers.

No Boogie
No LMA
No Love
No Monroe
No Chandler
Another year of journeymen cast offs on 1 year deals wearing purple and gold while I watch my favorite player of all time become a shell of his former self for a god awful team

Seems like this would've been the perfect time for Kobe to accept a reduced role.

Aldridge for sure. He is much more "unguardable" than Love.
I believe AD said in an interview that Love was the toughest to guard because he could shoot from anywhere. Obviously Alridge and Dirk probably have the two most difficult specialty shots to block.
Minny Love where he is THE Guy, I'd take over Aldridge. It's really close though.

Who is Simmons?
Yeah I think Russell can be a star one day. Randle and Clarkson could be very solid and the cap space is nice but striking out on Love, Aldridge, Cousins etc is going to cost us whatever chance we had next year with Durant.

God doesn't accept a reduced role.

I'm going to laugh if the Lakers end up making zero notable signings. More points for Russell.

Taco Trey Kerby @treykerby
82.7% of DeMarre Carroll's hoops were assisted last year, on league's best AST% team. Just signed with the league's 3rd worst AST% team.
That's interesting...
I like Carroll to Toronto but only if they keep DeRozan. I know there are rumors of DeRozan being traded, Wes Matthews?, and if that happens then signing Carroll would be a bad signing. Mainly because Carroll struggles to create his own shot, but he is a good player to kick it out to and is a catch and shoot type of player. And DeRozan is really really good at getting into the lane, forcing D to collapse, and creating. I think he and DeRozan would fit well together and complement each other on both ends of the floor.
If you trade DeRozan for Wes Matthews, you have 2 guys that are catch and shoot players and can't really create their own shots in Matthews and Carroll.
IMO... Lowry, DeRozan, Carroll > Lowry, Matthews, Caroll.
