I think they are an amazing team. have an amazing coach. Just would like to see them make it to the title.

Whats the word on Acadiana? They were fun to watch last year. I don't know much about who they lost and who they have returning. Are they still going to be a force this year in 5A?

This is the truth. For the most part, the Lafourche/Terrebonne 5A teams are usually pretty slow - with the exception of an occasional "burner" out of Thibodaux every few years.
I'm not sure about the 5A champ...it will probably be the usual suspects in the race (WM, Acadiana...) but I'll call District 8-5A a toss-up between Destrehan, Hahnville or East St. John. I don't see any one of John Ehret, Bonnabel or Higgins sweeping the River Parish teams which they would probably need to do to win the district.

No clue. I'm not a STM supporter or anything. I just wanted to point out that they did, in fact, get past the 2nd round of the playoffs...beating my alma mater in the process.

Yea I know they lost Micah who was spectacular for them. I remember being at the STM-Acadiana semi final last year. It felt like I was at a college football game. I have NEVER seen that many people attending a high school football game that wasnt in the Superdome. Thank God I was on the Acadiana side of the stadium

Higgins would be the only one of the 3 that could possibly do it. But their track record against the River Parish teams is mediocre at best.

They lose most of the OLine, the QB, one of the RB's. Offense should be rebuilding but knowing how acadiana just seems to reload at RB year after year this year will be no different.Ole Miss baseball signee Stryker Trahan was backup QB last year (was starting TE). They had a freshman last year that played some in the playoffs. They said he will be the next big thing. (plays QB and DB) OLine will have size not too much experience but Acadiana's offense is fairly simple.
Defense will be good. 8 starters returning.
The district overall will be good imho.
