North Louisiana is going to win the most championships. Sorry to break the hearts of our South Louisiana brothers, but thats just how its going to be.

I think West Monroe is a pretty good bet for 5a, but most of the other classifications have at least 1 good S. Louisiana team in contention

Id love to say STM 5A but our coaches always find a way to frick it up in the quarters or semis with superior football team..

See Shaw in the semis 06

Franklinton beat Salmen in the Semi's last year by 60 points and beat them during the season as well. Franklinton returned virtually all their skill players. I'm surprised to see so many taking Salmen over them?

WM has played two teams in 6 weeks with winning records, Leesville and Ouachita

Ouachita is 5-1 and has played two teams with winning records, WM and Pineville

STM has played 4 team with winning records and 2 teams that are .500

Every team that STM has played this year, except Sulphur, has won the week after they played STM

I could care less about any of that. I don't even like West Monroe. I was just pointing out the fact that Ouachita has a strong team that will be a handful for anybody in the playoffs. West Monroe beat them soundly.

wasn't personal, just pointing it out for the rest of the viewers lol

just saying WM has played a shite schedule, hasnt been tested and people saying they are the automatic favorite in 5A just because of who they are is dumb. That being said, WM could end up with a tough draw on the power ratings because of that schedule and get an Acadiana or STM matchup in the quarters or semis.

the big advantage that WM has is being on the big stage

you have no clue how STM, who has NEVER played for the state title in football, would handle the preparation and atmosphere of the state title game

well if you had to pick one team in 5A and bet your life on it, who would it be?

sure but I would rather THIS year's STM team be tested in the regular season and proven in the playoffs than have a team like WM that is untested and relying on past seasons experience in the playoffs.

Winning a state title in 2009 doesnt amount to much in 2010

Acadiana

the Rams coaches know they have to work on three things:
pass defense
pass offense
punt game

they have 4 weeks to do it before the playoffs and they will, belee dat
