I do believe there are different avenues to financial security. But what are they these days?

Well, as always you have people who wrongly believe that real estate, equities, or entrepreneurship are good pathways but these are all scams.

I put all my money in a diversified portfolio of gold, bitcoins, Iraqi Dinar, and universal life insurance. I have also taken advantage of several awesome business opportunities (Team National, Advocare, and a few others) that I anticipate will start making me loads of money really soon.

You must do two of the following three really well: earn money, save money, or grow money.

A billion dollars in liquid assets would make me feel secure.

My list....

No debt including home
Passive Income that covers basic living expenses
A savings rate of over 25%

Not the standard rule but its mine. Any sort of debt infringes on my definition of freedom.

Work hard and live within your means so you are a regular saver. And most importantly, be honest with YOURSELF. Too many people lie to themselves to justify bad decisions. The rest will generally take care of itself.

J. Paul Getty could not have said it better.

Also, make more than you spend.
Repeat.
