How much do you think about money?

Lately, I've been consumed with thinking about money. I spend pretty much all day thinking about money. I know it's not a healthy thing, I'm sure, but I'm not sure how to stop.
I make pretty decent money and I'm kicking back a decent chunk into my savings, so it's not a I'm living paycheck to paycheck and wondering if I'm going to make it kind of thing.
Anyone else have this experience?

I've transitioned a lot of my time spent following sports minutiae to investing if that counts.

The scene from Wolf of Wall Street where Matthew McConaughey says "When you get really good at it, you'll be stroking and thinking about money." reminds me of myself. Thinking about it constantly and always thinking about how to make more.
Terrible way to live honestly.

It's a normal thing, and for me it comes in waves. Like it or not, finances dictate the quality of life and retirement for most people, and it's a very important adult subject.

All day every day, but not in a stressful/worried manner. It's become more of a hobby, I enjoy watching my money grow, researching, and looking for more investment vehicles.

Way more than i should. I dont check my investments as often anymore but constantly learning.
Helps me stay in the know without tinkering too much with current investment plans.

How much do you think about money?
However, I used to think about money a ton when I was growing up, early in my career, and early in my family life.
The key for me was coming up with a good long range plan, the associated near-term tactics, and then automating those tactics (401k, house payment, auto-bill, etc). Then I got my daily life spending habits in a number that fits the above.
So these days I deal with the "paper pile" and pay the credit card statement every month, but I only really think big picture once a year or so when I do a strategy and tactics check.

It just stresses me out that I may ever get to where I want to be financially.

I look at the activity on my banking and investment accounts daily. Investment account sometimes 4-5 times daily. If I'm on the road and seeing/entertaining customers/prospects, the first thing I do when i get in my hotel room is see how my 401k and investment accounts fared that day.

More than I should I guess. But being "worried about money" means I'll hopefully never be "worried about money"

I spend alot of time thinking/reading/researching about personal finances. There's not a bunch of things in life you can control, but financial decisions you make throughout your life are something you can control. Decisions I made in my 20s are already beginning to pay off in my 30s.
That being said, the more I learn the more it pisses me off to no end to see people making dumb financial decisions. Especially extended family and people I looked up to in my younger years.

Too much right now especially for my situation. I just finished grad school and don't start working until October so I have no money and $30,000 worth of student loans. I have a good job so I know it's not a big deal, but damn it's stressful having loans like a shadow over your back and seeing your bank account go down every month instead of up.
On the bright side I like and research personal finance.

My outlet is this board. I love learning and this board exposes me to new concepts and ways to approach problems.
I rarely "worry" about money. I know I do the things I need to do for the long term and that's all I care about. I know that I am in a very fortunate position therefore finances are not a concern. I worry more about how I help others (girlfriend, friends) financially than myself.

I'm not going to lie, I think about it a lot. Mostly about the asset and luxury goals I've set for myself and what it will take to achieve them.
I've found the most therapeutic thing is to sit down and pencil out some notes as to what I'd need if "x" situation arose. It helps me unwind, feel like I've made some progress, and move on to the things I CAN control in the meanwhile. And if "x" situation ever were to arise I'd also be ready for it.

look, life has many harsh realities. You could go through many problems in life that could knock your dick in the dirt over and over. it has happened to me. As you get older you may realize you will have to curtail expectations and reassess your goals. It is just how it goes. It has taken me so long to restart so many times i am not willing to risk all i have now and lose everything for some get rich opportunity. I won't sell all my RE nor cashout all other investments for starting some expensive franchise. Now i am willing to try something without risking my current bread winners. I cannot afford to start all over again should i lose my arse so i stick with what works. I will continue to do so.

More than I should but not as much as I use to.

Literally all day. I don't make much and I really love the opportunities money can do for one and their family.
It's probably toxic how much I think about it and get down knowing I won't make as much as I'd like to.
ETA: I know how much is in each bank account and how much my cc balance is. I document every transaction I make and apply it accordingly in my budget. I was in a little bit of debt right out of college for being a total idiot and saying "Oh I'll pay for it later." Now I pay my card off every week just for the peace of mind that I'll never slip up and fall into a debt hole ever again. I have really good spending habits now. Only if I could make some somewhat decent money, I'd be set and really get the ball rolling for retirement.
