My wife and I are redoing our budget, and I am just curious what other people allow for entertainment each month?

For our purposes, dining out is a separate category (since we mainly do this together). We are planning a $150 a month/person while attempting to restore some reserves. I am just curious what other people do.

I spend at least 20k if you break everything down. I spent 10k on guns last year, at least 1k on ammo, 2k on deer corn, $2500 on a deer stand, $300 on deer cameras, several hundred driving to south Texas for hunting in fuel cost, spend at least $300 a month on alcohol at bars, and serveal other thousand considering I travel at least once a month.
I spend a minimum of $500 a month on eating out also.

I need to get on a budget lol.

I struggle with this bucket. I put $300 in my Mint but I rarely code things against it. Instead, I typically code it under Food and Dining.

Generally speaking, I spend between $600-700/month on the Food and Dining part of the budget.

Most of my Mint budgets aren't discretionary and are bills/utilities and such. I have an Eating Out, Alcohol, and Clothing category to track those, but then I just have this big wad budget called "Everything Else."

I just decided that tracking Entertainment, car repairs, hotel stays, general shopping, books cabs, etc was too unpredictable so I just picked a top line number I'm comfortable spending and try to stay under it.

Define entertainment.

I think I may be lucky that my entertainment (hobby) is playing guitar which has turned into a significant source of income for me.

Outside of eating out, I'm not sure I do much else. Maybe order the occasional movie but Netflix and Starz typically takes care of me there.

Damn I think may be getting really boring as I age.

My spending is golf. I don't have a membership because my amount of play is variable, but in the last month I have spent $400-$500 on golf fees. I'm trying to cut that down substantially, but it's an expensive hobby.

Airplane or big boat.

The word "hemorrhage" is appropriate.

The only way to survive either for the 99% of us is to be able to defray the costs through business.

We budget about $250 per month. I don't include things like hunting trips or gun purchases as entertainment. I don't really budget monthly for those things. I generally have a separate fund for hunting that we save for over the course of the year. Our entertainment would be like going to a movie as a family. We also have about $120 a month that is considered date money so you could say its closer to $350 a month.

My entertainment budget is usually lumped in with my "food" budget.

Basically when I get paid I pay my bills, throw some money in the savings, and the rest is spent on food/entertainment for the month. I think it's usually around $1200 per month.

I don't budget for it per se...

I pay all my bills, max out my investments and then whatever money is left over goes into my checking account and I spend based on that. Sometimes the acct balloons a little and other times is goes under where I like to keep it, but it all works out in the end.

It all depends on what I feel like doing.

I don't... I pay the bills/save and do whatever we want when I am off work. I couldn't stand living on a budget and being confined to when you can have fun. It helps to make good money though for that philosophy.
