I got an offer for up to 150,000 miles for spending the small sum of $30k between now and November.
Couple of weird things. They are saying you have to pay for the ticket after registration. So I'd have to go cancel the 5 tickets I just purchased this morning and re-book them for them to count. Also, the T&C didn't say the flights had to be during the promo period (i think).

Flights have to be flown by Nov. 30th or something.
And ya, anything booked before registration, but flown during the promo period don't count. Sucks.
I had tiered offers, something like, $500 for 8,000 miles, $1,000 for 12,000 miles, and $1,500 for 20,000 miles, which are stackable BTW.

What was the timeline of those applications? If some of those are near the 24 month mark, you can wait for those to go past 24 months so you are eligible for some Chase cards. If all of those are recent, then you might as well start now.

frick me.
Didn't get precheck on my Delta flight out of AUS in the morning.
My damn KTN wasn't on my profile for some reason.
I don't want to know how screwed I am.

TSA pre line is about as likely no as the regular line now. Still more convenient of course.

Sorry to hear about the ban. I was wondering what happened. I won't ask for email, but what airline do you recommend for me to get to Edinburgh with a stopover in London? I have 88,000 amex points, 30,000 chase points, 45,000 thank you points, and 50,000 sw points (for positioning if needed). I'd rather not do another app, and am fine to fly economy.

Transfer 25k Chase points to British Airways avios. Then use United.com to search for direct saver level Aer Lingus flights from BOS-DUB or SNN. Call ba and tell them you want to use avios to book a flight on Aer Lingus and you can't do this online. This flight is 12.5k avios each way.
Fuel surcharge is very minimal. SW flight to get to Boston. Once you're in Dublin or Shannon, Edinburgh or London aren't hard to get to by train or road.
This will be best value for points and the easiest over all.

Alright I am not quite ready to jump on the AMEX Plat (won't meet spend requirements) but I would on the Chase Freedom. The question is should I get the Freedom or Freedom Unlimited? And can someone shoot me a link?

Wasn't that bad. Everybody jams up at the middle security checkpoint so I walked to the far left one and had a line of 5 people vs 50.
My inventory check reveals I need to make a quick pharmacy run. Gotta have some sunglasses this weekend.

Here is a referral for the freedom. I love the 5% categories so I recommend it. Someone else may have an unlimited link.

10-4, I'm going to wait around for more opinions but if I go with the Freedom I will use your link.

Two I think we in the middle of 2014. I suppose I could just wait until the beginning of 2017 and then signup for both SW cards?

Apply for them in December and start working towards your bonuses. Just make sure you hit the min spend in Jan. This way you will have your companion pass as early in the year as possible.

Look at the Freedom 5% cats. Do you think you will be able to maximize these? Do some quick math as to how much you can spend on those categories during those months and compare it to 1.5x all throughout the year on everything. The old freedom is a no brainer for people who can maximize those categories. If you can't, I'd recommend the FU.

Frick me. Flight delayed. At least I have the Centurion lounge. Too packed though. I'd almost say I prefer admirals club for peace, quiet and airside view

I've hit the $3000 spending for the Amex Platinum.
I don't know how long until I get the 100k bonus points.
It's funny just yesterday I get Amex Platinum offer by mail to spend $5000 for 50k points.
