Further, if you go through the UR portal, Staples.com has a (basically) permanent 2x bonus. The disclaimer swears that you don't get the extra 2x on gift cards, but I think they must mean on Staples gift cards, because I always get my email from chase confirming my extra UR points.
So can I get 7x on gas too then?

Why considering ink? Couldn't anyone capitalize on that?

See? This is what Teddy warned you against

Haha. Yep.
Essentially all you have to do is get though the first 3 months spending requirement then exclusively pay for certain things with certain cards and you can rack up a ton of shite.
Are you allowed to combine points from separate cards to pay for one thing? Like a super expensive flight?

Only took 8 hours
You have referral links from our blog or just the usual through Chase?
Was curious because if the former I was wondering if it was online yet or not.

I am actually in the process of making one. It is only going to be the billionth one out there. But it is a small project for me to learn how to make a website doing something I love doing :) But that went on the back seat due to extremely busy day job + studying for the CPA currently. Hard to find time to do anything else between work, studying, MS and vacationing
It is going to be more of a absolutely free award booking helper. I think I am ok at getting the best use of points from getting A to B and I love talking about it. So figured why not..

Exactly. The first three months is usually to hit the big sign up bonus. And you hit a big sign up bonus across multiple cards to rack up points.

Yes. For example - you could transfer points from AmEx MR + Citi TYP to Singapore KrisFlyer for a ride on their Suites. It involves knowing partners and finding common partners between different programs. Within the same program - if you have say the Chase Freedom + Sapphire + ink - they all accrue Chase UR points, which all go in 1 bucket. Amex and Citi have similar products as well.

The wife has 75,000 points on Whitney CC that's she's getting rid of because the rewards suck. Any way those can transfer or be combined?

Sweet. You can help me get IC Thalasso. I will try that paid version of HH too probably.

'Merica and Sho Nuff: I do not have referrals to the best Chase Sapphire or Ink offers. I have the 40k on sapphire and 50K on ink.
Please ask someone else if they have the 50k on sap and 60k on Ink. That is the best available public offer right now. Chase screwed me

Know nothing about Whitney points. Usually these bank points at least = 1 cpp. And see if buying merchant GCs will yield any better value than that.
In general - you want to stick with Chase, Citi and AmEx for the most part for travel rewards as imo they have some of the top products in the business.
Btw - speaking of Whitney, they have an offer going where if you open a checking account + 1 direct deposit + 5 debit card uses = $200 Visa GC in the mail. Was perfect timing for me since I need a couple more checking accounts for MO deposits so scooped another $200 on the way

Wait. If you get the bonus with the ink card but you also buy 3k worth of shell cards from staples to get to that 3k do you get the bonus plus the 15,000 points from the 5x multiplier for 3k worth of gas?
So essentially 55,000 points for spending 3k?

Barclays arrival plus is gonna be my first card I think.

This will yield a total of 60K from sign up bonus + 15K for spending $3k on office supplies stores. Some say that you can get an extra 2x if you click through chase portal. I haven't tried that myself. If true that would mean another 6k for a total of 71K points for spending $3,000.

What the hell is cpp, GCs, MO deposits...?

cpp = cent per point
GC = Gift Card
MO = Money order.
Sorry about that
