Mine was ~2500 with the discount for the self study package. That was summer 2009.

I think it's closer to $3,000 now.

If they won't pay/reimburse you for the CPA, you need to find another firm.

CPA Study Program
I actually took all 4 of my exams within a month of each other
No way I could have done that while working. I took mine in a 9 month span.

No shite. That's part of the reason I chose Becker. My company reimbursed me for each section I passed.

One firm I got an offer with didn't pay for it all. I think it had a $1000 stipend for it.

More impressive than taking mine in a month - I couldn't imagine having a FT job and taking them

Yeah, I tell everyone I know to do it before starting work if at all possible. Unfortunately can't do that with the cfa.

I work in industry now, and last year the senior on the team that was auditing our books took all four parts in a month while working. He scored something like 95+ on each section.
That's ridiculous.

Good reason to not use Becker.

Haha, here you actually get credit for taking the class and it sets it up so you study for one section in class then take the section. Until you have taken all four.

Took the CPA exam years ago when you sat for 2 1/2 days straight to complete all 4 parts and you had to pass 2 parts in order to condition. If you passed one part you did not get credt fot it. Took Becker CPA review class after being out of college for 8 years and passed 3 parts the first time and passed the last part on the next sitting. Becker really prepared me for the exam but I had to become a hermit for about 5 months where all I did was work, Becker and study. The exam is different today as you can take one part at a time. Either way, Becker is probably a good choice.
