Your $21 UNG puts are looking really god if the report comes out as projected. My $20.50's are looking riskier, but nothing ventured, nothing gained.
Natty Gas up about a dime today.

I haven't bought them yet...I was trying to buy them yesterday at .20, kept raising my limit to.25, then quit, always a penny or 2 behind...they went to .40 or so, now down to .15
I'm concerned the market is rallying in advance of the injection numbers thinking someone knows the number will be lower than expected.

That's part of the fun. On the injection reports I might lose tomorrow. You're right. Having said this, I've been using First Energy Financial's injection estimates, and I have been batting about .700, so I'm betting 89 on the low end, and possibly between 91-94 brings my 20.50 profitable.
At close yesterday they were up to .18, and you see where I bought them at.
If not, I'll play 10 more times and hope my average holds out.
All the time I'm doing this I'm long natty gas. These are just weekly injection plays with short term, low priced puts and calls.

that's exactly what I'm doing holding UGAZ for a move up over the next few months, and trying to play movements between then on the options....I've got a limit of .15 on the puts and will probably cave and buy some for .18 if I have to

Interesting. Natty gas is up about .08 now, and I'm guessing a lot of buying before the bell. When it was up .10 my pouts were trading, albeit with little volume, higher.
I disregard it all and play the percentages.

dang it...I don't know why I chase pennies on an all or nothing option like this, but again, I was wanting to buy at .15 or .16...every time I'd raise by limit to above the highest bid on the board, they'd put 5 orders ahead of me
I basically pushed the price up from .16 to .2 before I could get my order filled

Iowa should have beaten Iowa State. Easily. LSU should have beaten MSU. Maybe not as easily, but beaten them all the same.
College football and natural gas I find to be similar, and both appeal to me as in each heads get ripped off.
You can buy before the injection report tomorrow as it is released at 9:30 EST. I'd watch the future's market a couple of time over night, and more importantly first thing tomorrow.

I went ahead and bought at .20
and yes, we both should have won those games, both tough losses. Iowa did have a nice win at Pitt though
good luck on your positions...

UNG goes down a dime and you're I the money. I have a longer, riskier ride.
Thanks Brother Skule, good luck to you as well.

If I find a buying opportunity in the morning I'm going to do the same

Oct gas down to $3.88, yesterday's cash at HH was $3.89. It will be interesting to see when today's HH cash transactions get posted.

why isnt kold going up?
Posted on 9/24/14 at 8:35 pm to diat150
Because gas was up over a dime today. It's down .03 now. No word on HH yet.
Posted on 9/24/14 at 8:54 pm to Iowa Golfer
Cash was down to $3.84 at HH. Hopefully this and the projected injection pushed another winner, winner, chicken dinner for some of us tomorrow.

After tomorrow I think it's possible to be above 100 for the nest three weeks. Short on Weds, close on Thursday and buy more cheap Jan/Feb longs. Rinse, wash, repeat.

All short etf/etn down extended hours. Gas contracts down between .04 ans .05. Light October volume as expected, but some activity in November.

Skule, your 21's are being bid up to .30 already. 900 at .24 and 1700 at .30.
Hopefully it ain't yet begun.

I feel like a drug addict watching you guys play with options.
I was heavy into them in college. Made a killing and then lost every penny. The emotional/financial swings were taking their toll on me and I never touched them again.
