Looks like I'll hit this for the first time this year. I'm 36,so I'm probably far behind a lot of you.
I grew up extremely poor, and this is what I considered "rich" back then. Ha. Definitely not rich, but this is a very important accomplishment for this poor country boy.

You're doing far better than most. I'm 26 and it doesn't feel like I'll ever get there.

I felt the same way at 26. It got better.

All relative. I know people that never sniffed that salary and yet still retired comfortably around age 60. Not what you make, but what you spend.

Absolutely agree. There are probably people who make less but have more. But man, it feels good to check this off the bucket list. My dad would be proud.

26, my first job... unfortunately my pay structure starts really strong but it is very flat from here on out.

26.
Edit: and I was proud of it but was also remarkably surprised how not a whole lot was different really.

Came very close at 25 in the south.
Slightly surpassed 200k at 26 on the west coast.
Not exactly apples to apples comparison, though.

It's not what you make, its what you save.

Cost of living is so crucial for this too as you mention here

Probably around 40 and I'm 56 now. Save hard. I've saved more in my 50's than I did in my whole career. Get debt free ASAP. Crazy what you can save when you have no bills.

30. But as a doc id been losing money all the way up till that point so it wasn't real life changing or anything. Kept living like a resident for awhile.

This. I get the occasional check for 2k and I flip out lol. I doubt I'll see 100k anytime soon, if ever.

Its a very important accomplishment for anyone... The median household income in the US if 51k.
Be proud of what you will accomplish. Like others have said, make sure you are investing appropriately, but I wouldn't go too far. You have to enjoy it while you can, you can save save save and never enjoy all of your hard work. Enjoy your money too, because you never know when your day will come.
