Proof that LSU should not have won every game that year with Odell and Landry.

Tell me more about the success of Alabama's quarterbacks in the NFL? and I don't mean Aj McCarron

This is so stupid. He was solid enough to get drafted. You realize that entire offense was loaded. Not just these 3.

Denver would be a good spot.

He will find a job no doubt.

I'm not saying he played great, but the Titans did not give him every chance. Had they traded down in last year's draft and upgraded the O-line, then you can say they gave him every chance. Just because he played doesn't mean they gave him every chance. The Titans have been garbage for years and with Mariota's durability problems, I don't see that changing any time soon.

Mett is about as mobile as Peyton Manning. If you put Manning behind that OL he would have been crushed, too.

Or Houston. Osweiler is a bust.

Offense was good enough to win the sec that year so I don't get the reasoning behind comments that him getting cut was proof. Problem was we were too young on D imo

Blessing in disguise for Mett. He gets to bail on the Titans and has completely open options.

Best wishes and good luck in shopping your talents, Mett. Too bad Tennessee didn't provide what any QB would need - solid OL - to succeed in the NFL. Not your fault.

Only LSU fans would suggest trading down to select lineman to protect Mett over drafting Mariota.

While this is certainly true, it has absolutely nothing to do with a discussion over giving Mett his chance to prove what he's worth. His poor decision making, work ethic, poor accuracy on short throws, and concrete feet got him waived.

He regressed in his second year. He had a 13.6 QBR in 7 games last year. As bad as Matt Cassel was in Dallas, he still had a 33.7 QBR in 9 games, for perspective.

Defend him all you want. Blame the Titans all you want. When given opportunities, he was horribly below average. That's not debatable.

Who needs a QB? Denver, San Fran, Cleveland, and the Jets. he could go in and compete for a spot at these places

How did he not live up to potential? He was a 6th round pick

Tennessee is atrocious and will continue to be atrocious for the forseeable future with their awful offensive line. Hell they nearly got mariota killed last year.

Everyone saw this coming. He hadn't showed anything to justify keeping him on the roster, and Mariotta is clearly the future there.

This kind of logic has no place on tRant.

Denver & NYJ just drafted QB's. He doesn't fit the system in San Francisco or Cleveland.

In addition to the poor OL, the only reliable receiver was the TE Walker. The running game was atrocious as well, allowing the D to t-off on the QB.

Mett will make a place for himself.

Here comes JBeam...you've hated Mett since he's been here. Not sure what he did to piss you off, but its pretty sad the way you hate him.

Every LSU player should start or never get cut.

Good luck to him in the future though. Hope he does what it takes to be a starter next time around.

Have an upvote.

Mett's okay. He'll land somewhere and has a chance at a solid career as a back up if he maintains a steady work ethic. Back up's get waived/cut all the time but people here overreact because of where he played college ball.
