I miss that sign. I had a picture of it on here but it was removed for being too large (Didn't know it was too large or I would have fixed it). And now my picture is gone just like the sign.

Ive seen it somewhere where bear bryant said something to the extent of ..."it was the loudest, most rowdy place i've ever experienced from walking out of the tunel...and that was the night before the game."
anyone know the exact qoute i'd love you forever if you post it.

"The typical LSU fan's idea of a perfect season is to win every game and the national championship then, fire the coach".

quote:
From Hall Of Famer Ronnie Lott that played with USC during the 1979 game:
"It's probably the only time in my life I was intimidated by the crowd," Lott said. "A lot of great players have played in that stadium, but I don't know if any team has walked into that stadium and dealt with what we went through. From the time we landed to the time we left, I don't know if a team has ever gone through that."
"Every one of us left that night saying 'that was a game,' but I still think about it that way," he said. "I haven't been in an event like that at any level of football. Out of all the games I've ever played in, I've never been in anything like that, and I am including my Super Bowls in that assessment."
Wow!!

Not LSU but to good to pass up. Woody Hayes Vs. Michigan
quote:
In the 1968 game, already up 42-14, Ohio State scored another touchdown. Woody then called for a two point conversion, which they converted. When asked why he did it, Woody said; "Because the rules won't let you go for three."

by Wright Thompson:
LSU fans are great at many things. They're great at arriving early and staying late. They're great at big cast iron pots of jambalaya and plastic cups of Jim Beam. But there is nothing they do better at Tiger Stadium than hate. It's a blistering river hate. A gothic hate, the kind that is reserved only for microwave gumbo, for yankees that confuse creole with cajun, for villians like FEMA, BP, and Nick Saban.
Hate this strong can only be born out of love. Just as there is nothing worse than being hated in Louisiana, there is also nothing greater than being loved here, and if you love them back, they will love you unconditionally. Heisman Trophy winner Billy Cannon went to prison and is still an icon. When Saban came back to Tiger Stadium with the Dolphins, they showered him with cheers. But if you betray them, if you go to Alabama, if you make them feel silly for loving so much, well, then may God and Mike the Tiger have mercy on your soul.

From John Ed Bradley:
Writing [It Never Rains in Tiger Stadium] helped me. It was cathartic, it has been therapeutic. I grew up loving Ernest Hemingway and Hemingway said you write something and you get rid of it. Well, Hemingway never played in Tiger Stadium. Because I’ve written about L.S.U. and Tiger Stadium and I have never gotten rid of it.

“When they walk off that field for the last time, it’s then that it will probably strike them. The good news is their memories are as strong as there is in college football. There is not a guy that will leave his experience here and ever think that there was a better venue, better stadium, better place to go to school, better place to be cheered for. There is only one Tiger Stadium and we are certainly going to miss them.”-Les Miles last year before Senior Day
