I am a staunch LSU fan and Nick Saban hater, but he knows how to coach. As much as I hate to say it Alabama is going to be the most humiliating loss of 2009. They are a complete team, one that is good on both sides of the ball and on special teams. They are a better coached team with better athletes. I am not afraid of Bama, I have watched them play and they are a better football team. Their offensive line will punch you in the mouth and run the football down your throat. Our offensive line looks like a bunch of walk ons.

November 7th is going to be a sad day for LSU football because we are going to get routed.

Halfway through the season, LSU is 12th in the SEC in total offense and 7th in total defense. By contrast, Alabama is 4th in total offense and 2nd in total defense. The game is in Alabama.

No one is "afraid", but to win LSU needs to improve dramatically. Luckily there is time.

And btw, you saying the Meyer risked the life of his star player is beyond ridiculous. Tebow was cleared to play by his physicians. Silly.

He may not be nice but Nick drills and coaches his teams to a fine edge. We saw him do this at LSU. He's doing it at Bama now. They don't have better athletes than LSU. But the athletes they do have know what they're supposed to be doing out there. Ours? Well let's just 'let 'er rip!'

pretty much what I am getting is, because of last year lost against Bama in our own home, alot of you guys feel that, you have been put in your place.

Am I correct?

Nick Saban win big games and he can do no wrong, he is elite , etc etc, and you being fans of LSU and being in his same division now know your place. Which is on your knees against Bama praying for mercy.

Am I correct in that assumption?

Thank God there are still some that believe that you won't know who is better until we play the game.

You need to reevaluate your reading comprehension skills.

Alabama has looked dominant.

LSU has looked crappy.

Therefore, at this point in time Alabama > LSU. Anything else is just blind hope.

If NUTT would have let someone else call that game. You might not be talking about how dominant they are!

LSU looked crappy last year and we did fine against ole nicky in our home. IN fact would have beaten them had JL not given them that pick six.

What you ARE saying is you Bama have put YOU an LSU fan in your place. You actually admit it. You look at some numbers and shake in your boots having to face those guys.

I can't believe an LSU fan would ever fear Bama, ever. No wonder Bama is laughing it up right now, you have been put in your place in their view.

Im not afraid of Bama.
I am aware that Bama is a complete team right now playing great football.

We are not.

It is unlikely to beat Bama this season IMHO.

Again, your reading comprehension is lacking.

Football is played on the field and LSU can win.

To think LSU is playing anywhere near the level of Alabama this season is ignorant.

And LSU looked crappy last year and finished with a losing SEC record for the first time since Gerry DiNardo was coaching.

But this is precisely the point I am trying to get across. Our defense is improving in leaps and bounds and luckily there is time for our Offense to improve by the end of the season before we meet Bama.

Maybe I used hyperbole to push across a point about risking life - but it sure was risking the quality of life had something happened. There have been enough people cautioning about concussions that it doesn't seem worth hurrying up the healing process.

But if I was wrong then it supports my case all the more that we played a really good Florida Offense and held them to just 13 points and Bama is nowhere close to the Gators in either players (with experience and led by Tebow) and coached by an offensive minded Coach (Meyer and co).

Everyone is ready to believe that all other teams will improve and kill us but refuse to believe that our Defense can show the same leaps in improvement and hence hold Bama to single points!!!.

Agreed their strength is their D but it can't be any worse than Florida's and not much better either - having been through one of the two already I don't see why we should quake for the other.

I am not "quaking" at playing Bama. In fact, I'm much more concerned about LSU improving. We have a bye week and can improve. We need to.

Let me rephrase - Florida (except for the last drive after our 4 downs) didn't play as though they were content with going up by just a few points

4th and INCHES from the LSU 39, 3rd quarter, Florida up 10-3.

UF intentionally takes a delay of game then punts.

Sounds awfully conservative to me.

You see it as an offense being conservative - I see it as the Defense being strong and forcing the offense to not try risky plays. We saw the play when their RB tried to run off the far side and was covered by our LBs - and Danielson made a comment about few teams matching up with Florida in speed.

I think it was out of respect for the D but knowing that our O would do squat with the chance probably helped them confirm the decision.

Bama has a better offense.
Bama has a better defense.
Bama has a better coach.
Bama has homefield advantage.

What here points to LSU winning?

Just wondering? LSU have never been afraid at all and even when they were undefeated last year , we gave them all they wanted and then some. Why so fearful?

Many on here said the same thing about the florida game

Surprisingly, many of the people on this thread were saying we'd lose 5 games again this year.

I'm no tiger homer, realistically we could very well lose to Bama. But to say we have no shot? You kidding me? Bama was supposed to be all that last year as well (Until their last two games) and we should have beat them! Some of you people make me f*cking sick reading this crap Why don't ya'll go find another team like miami to root for for god f*cking sakes, especially Dukke V. I hear Alabama has a nice board you f*ckin pansies, why don't you go there to suck them off.......
