Considering our defense was on the field for 38 of the 60 minutes AND they were playing a new scheme WITH a new coordinator, they played great. Theyr'e the reason we were still in the game at the end.

If they could hold Wisconsin under 10 points we win even with pathetic Cameron offense.

Kind of hard to do that when you are on the field as long as they were, and you have horrible special teams.

I could go back and find more posts but there have been quite a few.
Pretty sure that is your alter. I don't recall any other thread, but if there was one you should feel free to reply there instead of starting a new one.

I thought the defense looked good at times...but I also thought we let the TE run wild and their RB got too many yards.

The defense was on the field the entire 1st half. They did plenty enough to win the game. Multiple turnovers, tackles for loss, defensive TDs, etc. The other two phases of the game and coaching are the real issues, not the defense.

Shitty tackling, blown assignments, little pressure on a new qb, and a complete inability to cover the tight end.

I'm not 'down' on him, but I'm not buying the 'GOAT' hype yet.

While they had their own bumps and bruises they are not the reason we lost.

In fact the defense is the only reason we did not lose by 24pts so there's that.

Isn't time and possession just as much the fault of the defense as the offense? I thought the defense played good enough to win and way better than offense but still were not great.

Still to many long third down conversions, hardly any three and out possessions, no pass rush or push in the pocket from Dline, rushing lanes open in the middle, blown coverages, and no hard hitting flying around the ball.

If you are down on the D you are wrong. We gave up 16 points with no offense and we lost about 110 yards of field position because our punter sucks.

Aranda gained us 17-21 points. Our offense scored 7.

I've been a Les Miles supporter because he seems like such a good man.
I'm done.

He and Cam should be through after this season.

Hopefully Aranda will stay.

1. Our talent is generally overrated on D, IMHO.

BUT

2. I think Aranda's D will get better as the kids play it and practice it game by game. I have faith in Aranda and our D coaches.

For a defense working under a new coordinator, getting used to a new system and basically playing on the road, they played stellar. I dare say there's at least 80 other offenses in the nation that would have won that game paired with our defense.

2015 lsu football

LSU - 21

MSU -19

Not saying iur d was better or worse. Just proving your statement was wrong.

I wasn't upset at the defense this past weekend, but I wasn't impressed.

I thought the defense looked good. We really missed the depth of Lac and Herron in that type of game. D played good and will only get better if they don't throw in the towel.

I wouldn't say I'm down on Aranda. I WILL say

1) the D-line got pushed around a for a large part of the game

2) Wisky D performed the way we expected LSU D to perform, creating confusion and negative plays.

For me, the jury is still out on this D. If Wisky can run the ball on us the way they did, the Bama game will be another disaster.

Defense was fine. I like what Aranda is doing. Too bad he's only going to be here one year
