Well shite, why not 0

But to your 1st stupid post, LSU's defense may have had 1 game in the entire 2015 season where they played better: Texas A&M. Hell, even Syracuse with their 5th string QB put up 24 points.

The defense scored 7. The fact that they only gave up 16 despite the awful punting and turnovers, should be applauded.

Not in this game

Wisconsin converted three 3rd down conversions, 2 coming on 1 drive. LSU intercepted the ball on that drive btw.

They converted ZERO in the 2nd half.

Those 3 conversions came on 3rd and 6, 3rd and 1, and 3rd and 6.

. I agree. Not yet anyway. I really don't get why some many here are ready to crown him out next head coach. It's hillarious and delusional.

Exactly how I felt.

With that said, the d scored our first points and created our 2nd score.

But they were pushed around way more than I was anticipating.

Um... I've seen not one post criticizing Aranda. If it wasn't for our defense, we would have been shut out. Aranda is not being criticized AT ALL! Quit making stuff up.

Edit:. Ok, at least not serious posts.

Yep, the defense was pinned against the wall the entire game and held their own. Yes they gave up some easy passes, however they were very very stingy in the redzone, which is very promising. I mean stop and think, it's their first game under a new defense. I think they did just fine. My oh my if only they had an offense smh

Still to many long third down conversions hardly any three and out possessions, no pass rush or push in the pocket from Dline, rushing lanes open in the middle, blown coverages, and no hard hitting flying around the ball.

This when I knew you didn't know what the f**k you were talking about. They were 3 of 15 on 3rd down. That means that out of 15 3rd downs, they only converted 3 times. That percentage is tied for 19th in the country, with guess who, WISCONSIN!!!

The DL has a starting NT getting his first snaps versus likely the 3rd best OL we'll play this year. We had no decent backups because LaCouture got injured and Herron is suspended, meaning our e-4 guys had to play all game long.

For a team that has been 4-3 since as long as I can remember, they did damn good for a first game scheme change, with makeshift personnel, a DC in his first game, missing depth up front, and a shite-tastic offense and special teams.

You also have 1st year starting LBs in everybody but Beckwith.

By the time we hit Florida, this will be a top 10 nationally ranked defense.

People get so sensitive when someone criticizes the defense. The DLine was getting knocked around pretty good, and that's a bad thing. But it's not a knock on Aranda or the players. It was one game in a new system. It's not enough to determine things. It's not like Miles and Cam where we have a full resume to go off of.

For me, the jury is still out on this D. If Wisky can run the ball on us the way they did, the Bama game will be another disaster.

Wisconsin's bread and butter is rushing. LSU allowed 3.19 ypc and 1 TD on 42 attempts. Our ranking for 2016 is skewed because it's only game one where many played cupcakes with running games that wouldn't stand up (LSU is tied for 56th), but the 3.19 ypc given up to a rushing team like Wisky, would place us 7th in the country last year. LSU finished 33rd last year in the same category.

I saw all I needed to see to know that LSU's defense is going to be a monster going forward once it gets some experience and depth.

Well since the defense was out there for 55 out of the 60 minutes of the game I'd say they did quite well. Yea wisky had some drives but damn when your on the field the whole game what do you expect?.

I hope you're right. But with an anemic offense, I expect Bama to run all over us and Chad Kelly to shred our DBs.

Well it was the first game in a new scheme against the one team that's the most familiar with that scheme

I swear some of you are so stupid you're an embarrassment to the university.

Anyone that is down on this defense right now is most likely a fat arse key board warrior that could never even imagine much less perform for as many minutes as these guys had to.
