I know LSU's catcher (forgot his name) pissed off the whole ULL dugout for something he did a few years back. Might have been admiring a HR too long or peacocking. What was his name?

Matt Heath

He stared down their dugout after rounding 3rd to let them know their season was over. No chance of winning the 2nd game

I don't think it was intentional. He was ejected the next game along with their pitcher

I was sitting next to his dad that game and when Hill got ejected he came and sat next to him. It was pretty cool. Definitely not on purpose.

I never thought what hill did was on purpose, just unfortunate timing.

What heath did was definitely intentional.

Hill was definitely intentional. He's a dirtbag to the core, and I mean that in the sincerest, best way possible. Dude also hit a jack in the first inning of the next game... Quite the bomb.

Heath ABSOLUTELY stared down the dugout & left no doubt in anyone's mind that LSU wasn't about to let ulala sniff victory. The Hill thing, & I was at the game & remember exactly how hot it was, "supposedly" had the bat slip out of his sweat soaked batting gloves; he even showed them to the ump who supposedly told him he believed him but had to toss him because of everything else that happened. I believe that because I don't think he would intentionLly throw a bat into a dugout, Heath on the other hand, what he threw into that dugout was intentional.

The final couple of Bertman teams had some assholes....Heath, Todd Linden, and Bryan Moore on the 2001 team certainly fit that role. They were always stirring up shite.

No way you release a bat in that way and have a clue where it will go.

The UL@L team came to BR with a chip on their shoulder and their coaching staff loss control of their emotions. It was a UL@L coach who lead their teams charge out of the dugout.

I loved that regional.

Who was the pitcher who went rubber arm for that series?

Jake Thompson or something? Guy was a boss

Tompkins won a game in that regional, i dont think he pitched much though. ULL had beat us early in the regional, so we had to beat them twice. Brian Wilson threw a complete game in game 2 on Sunday afterTompkins got the win in game 1.

I thought Tompkins started 2 games for some reason

Was this in 2003?

Edit - it was 2002

I was at both games of the double header. Hill swung true, missed, then launched that puppy straight for the third base dugout. Hill was a gamer who knew how to play harder than everyone else on the field. It was as intentional as it gets, and i loved every second of it.
