minimal mistakes, had inflated stats because of good runs by TT, managed the game with what Crowton, sorry I mean Miles gave him on offense.

I think Jefferson can be a playmaker (great on his feet) but if he is handcuffed by the up the middle runs over and over again he cant help that. The gameplan was really conservative.

He is a great young qb who will continue to ge better. I just want to see shepard to get some touches so he can take a few hits from Jefferson

Why would I be impressed with him throw 5 yard dump passes to TT and having TT make great plays all night?

Seemed excited to watch Barkley do the same thing yesterday. Jefferson actually looked great running the ball too though, something Barkley can't do.

I was pleased with him. When he got clocked and it looked like he might be shaken up I was plenty worried. (didn't he come out of the game for like 1 play - I seem to remember that but can find any stats on Lee or any other QB)?

I actually like the way he's not afraid to run with authority. Of course that comes with the risk that he could get nicked up.

These three stats count in my book,

3 TD Passes
O Interceptions
1 Win

any QB that doesn't throws any ints. and completes better than 55% on the road turned in a good performance.

someone complained about the short passes? Lee was struggling last year with a simple screen.

+1
LSU fans are idiots if they thought Crowton was gonna open the playbook for a very young and inexperienced QB in the first game on the road against a OOC team. But then again, LSU fans are often idiotic.

JJ threw 0 INTS and LSU won. So of course I am pleased. I think LSU could have destroyed Wash with deep passes, but the coaches were obviously protecting JJ.

Cant say that I am. And it didnt look like Ciron or Keiland or Crowton or Miles was either.

Ciron and Keiland had heated words with Jefferson after several plays. Crowton obviously is not pleased enough to turn over the full playbook to him. And Miles did not look pleased at all after he got his bell rung twice.

Did Miles or Crowton even mentioned Jefferson's level of play after the game?

What do some of you expect from Jefferson? 300+ yards and 5TDs? Jefferson didn't make mistakes, got first downs, found the open receiver, led a great drive to put the game away. I would think that LSU fans would be thrilled to have a QB that doesn't give free gifts to the defense, but some of you idiots just aren't going to be happy with our QB regardless of how well he does.

I think we are realizing that our defense is still suspect. We will need a QB that is a playmaker. Jefferson did not look like one last night. Locker did.

I also think that he was way overhyped after the Ga Tech game, and the air was let out of our balloon last night. 5 three-and-outs wont get the job done, against SEC opponents.

Wow, i thought there would be more optimism after seeing all the glowing reviews Lee received after leading us on a come from behind victory against freaking troy st in tiger stadium. This is the guys third start on the road, coaches don't want to overwhelm him, let him manage the game and he deliverd to lead us on a game sealing td drive to close it out. He is only a sophomore next year he will be really special.

he did well with not making mistakes, but i was expecting a lot more from him, he was supposedly one of the most improved players on the team. he looked 10X better against Ga Tech

Anyone here who chooses to over analyze the play of a sophomore QB who throws 3 TD's, zero INT's, on the road, in the season opener, against a BCS opponent, in only his third start, and wins the game, has to be mentally challenged.

Or just plain hateful.

You know who you are.

and that cannot be "pleasing" to anyone, unless you're clueless. And you know who you are.

Ahhhh.

So here you are over analyzing our QB's play.

Guess that makes you either mentally challenged, or hateful, or both.

Way to step up.

After last season, I think we should be happy that Les and Crowton are trying to build up JJ's confidence rather than toss him in the meat grinder. Just remember is JJ gets his confidence shaken, the next option is JL.

That being said, I was happy. Actually the plays that stand out to me were plays that he flung it out of bounds rather than force a throw. That's why he got the goose egg in the INT stat line.

I was very pleased with his play. Good job by the coaching staff to call a conservative game and gradually let Jefferson grow into his role as a team leader and play maker.
