I thought he showed good judgment and didn't make any fatal mistakes. He also showed a lot of toughness.

Needs to become a better pocket passer. Does great rolling out, has happy feet in the pocket.

He is still green. Before deciding how good he is, let him get a few more games under his belt.

jeffersons play last night with the handcuffs on makes me excited to watch him play the next few years.
That is what people forger- he was given very few plays or options to work with last night. The offense will open up more & more as the season progresses...

To his credit, I think the second TD to Tolliver was an audible after Jefferson saw the corner blitz.

It was an good performance considering his youth. If our run game becomes more effective, I would take a similar performance every game.

JJ will do only as good as lee this year unless the offensive coordinator calls different plays. Lee did great when we were behind and needed to catch up but when we were ahead the play calls were shite JJ will have the same out come if they don't start calling the game like they did in the GT game.

Have you ever seen a sophmore not force the ball as much as Jefferson? He is a heady kid. The replay just showed him lunge with his off hand to pick the 3rd down on one play.

Jefferson is going to be special.

Big ups for Jefferson. He managed the game, he used his feet, he took some shots and got back up, he showed leadership,he threw the ball away when he needed to, he picked up the blitz and made it fatal for UW.

What's NOT to like ?

JJ got the job done. What does anyone expect at this point from a 2nd year sophomore? Someone makes it sound like there's a big problem with throwing TD passes. Go figure.

Anyone here who chooses to over analyze the play of a sophomore QB who throws 3 TD's, zero INT's, on the road, in the season opener, against a BCS opponent, in only his third start, and wins the game, has to be mentally challenged.
Amen, brotha.

uh, 2 dropped picks?
3-and-out, 5 times?
needlessly taking 2 huge hits?
the playbook being limited?
Keiland and Ciron yelling at him for mistakes?

did I mention, that LSU went 3-and-out 50% of the time? Thats huge to me.

meh. Didn't seem comfortable in the pocket. Seems to hold the ball to long. Not bad but not impressive either.

Too early to say.

I'm really happy with him. After the Ole Miss game and Heisman hopeful Sneed was 12-22 for 175 yards 2 tds and 2 ints against a weak Memphis team. So for everyone who says JJ was vanilla... maybe but he was mistake free vanilla something other top SEC Qb's were not. I am very happy with 175 yrds 3 tds and 0 ints.
