I think (a) the offensive plan was shut down after it became apparent that the o-line wasn't going to do any pass blocking and (b)it wasn't turned back on after we wore their defense down because Miles wants to be nice to instate schools.

We did work on some short/intermediate passes, and I think we looked ok, just a number of drops.

SFP you do understand Les and Cam know quantum leaps more about their offense and football than you?

Well I don't see how we can have a LESS diverse offense Charles. I hope the O line wakes up in time to realize they're missing a potentially really good season.

there is no question that we can bully ULM

if you're hanging your hat on our ability to just line up, overpower people, and then bully them for wins out of i-form, then you're pushing for a system that will lead to 3-4 SEC losses at a min

What?? We were able to wear down an inferior opponent? Well no shite. The point is preparing ourselves for teams that have comparable talent.

They are a hell of a lot better than ULM, my point is if we look more balanced next week and offensively productive while mixing in a bigger variety of plays and running out of more than 2 formations, then we'll probably look back at this as a slight over reaction.

The belly flip check was just an example I pulled off my head, I'm sure there are more in the passing game that are harder to identify since you can't really see all the routes being run on TV..

Look I actually agree with your bigger point, if nothing else as a fan we only get 13-14 games a year, no one wants to watch a boring arse "wasted" game where we only run 10 plays just bc it's a shite opponent and we can get away with it. It's not very entertaining. My point is that we have a history of doing this at least once a season so I won't make a huge deal out of it.

You're seriously selling Miss St short. Of course now if LSU doesn't win comfortably next weekend, you can come on here again and brag about how right you were that LSU wasted 4 quarters this past weekend instead of developing the offense better. Win-Win for SFP, right?

I went sailing last night and recorded the game. Sounds like it's not worth the watch.

You'll be blasted, but I concur. We've got power I down. Passing game and Jennings in the pocket are still very questionable

This is a Pro-I formation (what LSU runs a lot):

I hope this was helpful

Well you've already seen this game. Just the other team was wearing a different color uniform.

Was last night a wasted 4 quarters of development for our young offense? The Saints and 49rs actually have TEs and FBs that can make plays. How often do the Saints run the I-form with 2 stationary TEs, 1 WR, and no motion? Never.

So, they use a fullback

they are not good

if we can't beat them, then we're going to be like 4th in our division

The point I am trying to make is that we are putting inferior players on the field so we can use certain base sets and traditional roles (FB is just a lead back and no offensive threat).

last night we didn't give them many reps in the very things they need to work on in order to improve

My first thought was that last night's game was wasted.

Jennings really needs to work on trusting more receivers than just Dural. He needs a lot of work on his intermediate passing routes. He's not going to get away with this type of passing game when we get to UF and Auburn. Not a chance.

We usually throw a te on the left side in place of the wr. So a hybrid of both I guess. Mind blown!!
