if you're hanging your hat on our ability to just line up, overpower people, and then bully them for wins out of i-form, then you're pushing for a system that will lead to 3-4 SEC losses at a min

If you think that a team can just line up and run the power I without ever spending game time working on it, then you should just become an aTm fan. Ever wonder why their 'system' fails when it is time to control clock and dominate the line of scrimmage? Geez, Talk about a system that leads to 3 or 4 losses.

but we didn't run well out of this formation

we just ran until they were tired. that's not working on running from the formation, that's working on waiting for our superior depth and talent to take over. we won't have that sort of an advantage against a real team (which we have many on our schedule)

you're not even reading the words that are being typed about the offense

Well who is? Are bama and auburn the only "measuring stick" games?

It's an SEC opponent for fricks sake

Same shite different year! Last year was fun we passed on first didn't know what to expect. This year I-formation. 2 runs and 3rd and 8. Guess what gonna be a lot of 3 and outs because mett and our 2 top receiver's are gone. I mean I called 95% of the offensive plays last night imagine what a real defensive coordinator can do. Oline looks bad because they trying to block 9 guys on the run plays and a blitz on the 3rd and 8.

Sounds like they needed to work on it then.

it's just a tough formation to run out of. that's why it's out-dated and not used very often

we need more running out of ace, pistol, and shotgun formations. we still need a LOT of work on our zone-read (which we do use)

State has the best QB in the SEC, who is also a dual threat. Id say they are a measuring stick for this defense for sure.

as far as your OP, i thought the same thing. This could have been used as a glorified practice, instead they choose to grind it out like we were playing Alabama.

We controlled the line and established field position all night. That is a big part of running our system well.

And that is the result of running it well. You don't just wear a team down in the 4th quarter by waiting till the 4th quarter to do so.

And why is aTm's system your gold standard? Last I checked our system has been better than their's.

I feel like it was a wasted chance on improving on things.

Jennings has to look off his first read. Teams like bama have to be watching the film laughing. He throws to what looks to be his first read every time. If his first read isn't open, he panics. This happened several times last night.

I would assume teams are going to blanket dural in the SEC games and force him to go somewhere else. LSU fans should not be surprised when this happens. It should not be shocking.

One thing i DID like was passing with Fournette in pass pro. They HAVE to keep doing that to make teams not tee off on #7 when he's in the game. It's been telegraphed the last three games for the most part with #7 at the RB position.

Was last night a wasted 4 quarters of development for our young offense? they saints don't use a FB the majority of plays, bro the seahawks use multiple WR formations also and a slight bit of zone-read the 49ers run a ton of zone-read without a RB and 2-3 WRs...plus tons of pistol (which is a single-back offense) look at CFB look at the NFL tell me that i-form is a modern offensive system as a primary offense

They all use a fullback. We use it more than they do.

they've had a lot more success recently, as well as projecting to have more success, than any other regular opponent than ones not listed

a great year for MSU (8-4 in 2012) was a major disappointment for TAMU last year. MSU is 6-6 in the 2 years surrounding 2012, also

Arkie has been terrible since they had to fire Bobby

UF has been had an absolute luck-based outlier in 2012 but has been terrible otherwise. one day they'll be back (as i said)

i hesitate to even give auburn that much in terms of respect, b/c their 2013 may be like UF's 2012, but we'll see this year
