Oh I forgot Guice fell because of “character concerns”. He should’ve been a first rounder. That was all BS

Imagine Leonard Fournette in last years offense. Holy shite.

The problem is, if you go back and watch the games, Clyde often had to spin away from tacklers in the backfield. It happened time and time again. Defenders got in the backfield more than we would like to admit. Leonard just doesn’t have the ability to spin out of that trouble in the backfield like Clyde. So, I’ll take Clyde over Leonard in last year’s offense.

I’ll take Fournette still.

There were some remarkable plays from CEH but Fournette is a monster.

Guice would've gone in the top 15 of the draft after playing in the 2019 offense.

Fournette would have broken the single season CFB record.

Guice was only better as a spell-back. I know he was battling injuries his junior year, but that's part of the game, hell, Clyde was hurt too. Fournette was far and away the best. I still have nightmares that I play safety for TAMU or Ole Miss, and do that jump/wake-up thing right before Fournette trucks me to death. He kind of looks like Optimus Prime in my nightmares, which is probably quite accurate.

Fournette was the best back in a single season we've ever seen. If Clyde had to deal with what Leonard did there isnt a reality in which he duplicates fournettes season or what he did in 2019 and its not even close. He was great but having the other weapons he had around him was so crucial. Fournette had an 8 man box almost every single play....If not for a bad bama game and missing the opener he has a 2000 yard season easily.

Was clyde the best back we have had since faulk? by luciouslou
Just heard a guy on talk radio mention that. It's a interesting question. Everybody loves fournette. But Clyde may have been better.

47 Down 7 up arrows — All for a great point and Question

There are seriously challenged folks in here!

Apples and oranges with CEH vs Fournette!

I think if you asked Patrick Mahomes who he’d take he’d still say CEH — my .02 !!!

Clyde was the most overachieving back we have ever had and I mean that as a compliment.

No. You can’t really make comparisons because of the type of offense Clyde got to play in last year. You’re comparing apples to oranges.

This is my top 5 LSU running backs list since Kevin Faulk, taking into account talent and the circumstances surrounding the situation:

1. Derrius Guice
2. Leonard Fournette
3. Jeremy Hill
4. Joseph Addai
5. Clyde Edwards-Helaire

CEH would not have carried our team like LF. He would have disappeared in that offense unfortunately and that’s not a knock on him.

It’s simple:
CEH is the best since Guice
guice is the best since Fournette.
Each had special talents and CEH and Fournette were very different backs.

Clyde was a modern day Dalton Hilliard.

Fournette was a modern day Herschel Walker.

I can only imagine Fournette in LSU's 2019 offense. He was dominant with a 10 man box.

I probably enjoyed CEH's running style the most.
