Joe Addai was great.

I think Joseph Addai would have crushed it as well. He's one of the more underappreciated backs we've had and is IMO one of the best well-rounded backs we've had. With his pass protection, patience, and ability to catch out of the backfield, he would have done very well in last year's offense.

Fournette in last year's offense? Damn, O would be in front of a grand jury....

From a talent aspect no, from a competitive aspect, probably. Clyde came through every single time in the clutch. He killed Bama.

Depends on the offense we are running. In a run first and often offense CEH wouldn't be as productive as Fournette and Guice. Guice is probably my favorite running back in the last 10 years though. He had a toughness about him and that can't be taught. CEH had more wiggle in open space, and knew how to use his smaller stature to make things happen. The two runs in the bama game were amazing though.

Fournette was the most talented... It really is terrible luck that he’s never been in a creative offense with a legit passing game.

I’d take CEH over Guice though. Always thought DG was a little overrated.

I agree with this and would put Steven Ridley in the same category. He had the elusiveness of Clyde but was probably faster in the open field. That jump cut he would do to hit the hole was always a beautiful thing to see.

This is pretty much true, but Clyde out performed both of them by a good bit against Bama. Not sure if Guice or Fournette would have made the big plays Clyde did.
Clyde had a great game but Fournette or Guice in that offense with Burrow......OMG.... It would have been scary good for either of them.

Clyde is an all purpose back ala Sproles. Pure running backs can pile up more rushing yards, but Clyde can hurt a defense in multiple ways.

Thanks for letting us know that. I missed last season.

Hey captain obvious, you got any more in depth evaluations ?

Just imagine those 2 going against that Oklahoma defense we would still be waiting on a NC game because absolutely nobody on that field could tackle them we might have put up 100 points with ease

I don't think he's been healthy for years. Just think about what we saw in his ,backing up fournette ,days

Remember how much harder he ran ,earlier in his career.
Imo he was running that hard because of the lack of carries .almost subconsciously,I think.

Fournette and guice were better feature backs. I do think Clyde is a better tailored back for that offense we had last season. Clyde is better in traffic

hard to compare them. If they were each put in the others offense Fournette would've still been huge. CEH in the 2015 offense doesn't get nearly the amount of yards LF did but would've been good. CEH excels in a passing attack.

CEH is absolutely one of the best. The results of his career are better than all the mentioned people; Faulk, Fournette and Guice.

LF drove me crazy at times. He couldn't break a tackle or avoid a tackle if he was moving laterally. he struggled to make something happen if he didn't have a hole or lane.

CEH, Hester, Addai, Faulk could make something out of nothing at times. I didn't see that same ability from LF.

Hester and CEH had the most heart and were determined to win and get that 1st down.

Results meaning what? None of those other guys could control winning titles. LF had more yards from scrimmage and more TDs while being the only person teams needed to worry about. Still, yes, CEH is one of the best ever at LSU. I think any of the other 3 guys would've put up similar or better total numbers to Clyde in the 2019 offense though.
