My grandfather was there. Pretty sure he was sitting in the same seats we still do today. Unfortunately, he can't go to games anymore due to mobility issues.

I listened on the radio. My dad was there.
When Cannon scored on the punt return, it sounded just like static on the radio. It was cool to imagine Tiger Stadium going wild as he returned the punt.

Same here don’t remember where we sat. At 5 I remember everyone went nuts, but being short and everyone on there feet I did not see anything. My Dad and Mom were both screaming which is all I remember.

My mother was there, pregnant with me. At least until halftime, when she left because of the rain. Any right to lifers think that counts?

Was listening on the radio in Shreveport. What I remember was announcer Politz marveling at the tackling pile ups. And then when Cannon got as far as the LSU 30 the screaming of the crowd drowned out Politz for the rest of the play. Finally you heard the shouted word “touchhdown,” though the screaming kept on. I’m told that radio broadcasts figured out a way after that of dampening the crowd noise so the broadcasters could always be heard.

I won’t argue; it was over 50 years ago and I was a 10 year old.

My father and my uncle were there. They didn't want an 8 year old tagging along with them that night. Trick or treated in Baton Rouge for the only time in my life.

My dad and his friends. He had never heard the 67,000 capacity crowd louder...can't remember much other than hearing it live on radio.
