I need to search it, but didn't he have an early long run and catch TD against FSU one year before we got blown out?

Green made his mark as a return guy, not necessarily as a receiver.

Didn't Meyers play with Reed? And Reed isn't on your list?

Fine, fine. Someone mentioned Shedrick Wilson. Don't know how I forgot about him, but THERE'S my number 10 pick.

If we're talking LSU career, I think Landry > Odell but it's very close
I'll never understand this.

Landry over Beckem

:smh:

Just never understood this TD myth... one guy's faster, taller, has bigger hands and better stats, and this is even a discussion?

I think credit should be given to those who play 4 years over another player that only plays 3 years. Loyalty overrides talent IMO. Of course, in the "modern" area if you are great you only play 3 years anyway. Oh well, here's the best of the best:

1. Reed, Josh - best everything - esp. for 1 year
2. Davis, Wendell - best yards after catch
3. Martin, Eric - best route runner and great pro!
4. Hamilton, Andy - best hands on run-oriented team
5. Clayton, Michael - only b/c he was the 1st to leave early + he won an NCAA championship

Nice catch. He's often overlooked, but he was Josh Reed before Josh Reed...a depth chart RB that they turned into a stud WR.

I was having trouble with a 10th guy so I went with a personal favorite. Loved watching him play.

uhhhh how about Lafell?

2nd all time receiving TDs
3rd all time receptions
5th in receiving yards

Landry was better here if we don't include special teams. NFL isn't close though. Also, Landry's hands are bigger.

Landry > Beckham

Not a TD myth

Landry made absolutely incredible catches while at LSU. Granted Beckham had a few of his own but Landry's two against Arkansas in 2012-13 were better than Odell's SNF grab if you ask me. Odell had the flash and the publicity, but Jarvis was reliable; Odell would palm a touchback kickoff and then muff a crucial punt. Odell was the better talent, but Jarvis was the better receiver at LSU.

OBJ offered a lot more in his return game, but that's not something to hold against Juice as far as the WR position. OBJ was flashy, Juice was solid.

It's funny that you say OBJ is flashier because the two catches Juice made vs Arky were probably flashier than anything OBJ ever did in college, not including one handed catches on kickoffs and his amazing catch in the NFL.

Didn't crack the top 10, but I was a big fan of Early Doucet.

Didn't forget him. Left him off the list. His inexplicable drop against Auburn that ended up In the defender's hands in 07 is enough for me to demote him to honorable mention status. Great overall career but he never WOWed me.
