1. Reed
2. Bowe
3. Clayton
4. Landry
5. ODBJ
6. Buster
7. Randle
8. LaFell
9. Skyler
10. Early D.

That got really hard after #5. Had to look up some stats. Skyler should be higher but I don't feel like changing up my list.

I'd switch Early and Skyler, as well as Bowe and Clayton.

Not sure you can leave Devery out of a top 10. He only became a WR full time as a junior, but dude was a TD machine. 19 receiving tds in 2 yrs, and that's with him missing the last few games of 02 after he really came into his own.

It was either Early or Dev at 10, and I put Early just because he had more of an impact over 4 years

But yea, he was a monster his senior year

Byrd was solid but I dont think hes near the top 5 since 2000.

I love that Lafell is getting mentioned a lot on here. Not only was he good at catching the ball, but he also was 1 of the best run blocking WRs we have ever had. He would destroy people out there. And is 1 of the best run blocking WRs in the NFL today.

Think a lot of people are forgetting Buster Davis....

Anything Lafell learned about blocking was passed on to him by Bowe, which ORIGINATED with Clayton.

NO WR before or after has EVER blocked the way that Clayton did it. And as stated, he made sure to pass that heritage down the line.

I agree Clayton was the best blocking WR we ever had.

But to say that the reason Lafell was a good blocking WR was because of Michael Clayton is a bit of a stretch.

And we typically have really good blocking WRs here at LSU. Were typically a run heavy type of team. If a WR wont run block, he wont play.

Toliver and Randle were allergic to blocking. Randle might stay in front of a guy a little, but he wasn't trying to block him.

I never said all of our WRs are good run blockers...

But for the most part, since 2000 we have had a lot of WRs that were really good at run blocking.

I remember reading somewhere that Devery Henderson ran a 4.27 40. Everybody talked about Clayton (rightfully so), but Devery quietly and consistently burned everyone who covered him.

Who was the All-American corner at OU? The guy who just couldn't stay with Henderson? I think it was the Senior Bowl, and Devery just ran 2 routes over and over; a 10 yd hitch, and a hitch-and-go. He wore him out.

His last name was Strait. I think he ran a 4.6-4.7 at the combine which helps explain why wouldn't keep up with Devery

And to answer the OP's question, Reed and Clayton make the list no doubt. After that you can make an argument for any 3 out of OBJ, Landry, Bowe, Lafell, Randle, Davis, or Henderson. All really, really good college receivers.
