Leaf ell caught a bad rap for a couple of bad games. Honestly, the worst was probably bowe before he had surgery. My list is based on consistent production. Some of those guys had some drops, but the top 5 represents the most productive guys we've had and they did it for several years.

If this list were based on one pass I had to throw to only one receiver my list would look a lot different. However, if you are ranking the best you have to take into consideration what they actually did, not what we think they had the potential to do. I don't think anyone has the hands of reed and Landry on this list, but some guys were as productive or more productive. Latrell rounding out my top 5 over Landry was a tough call, but I gave lafell the edge because he was more of a factor for a longer period of time and actually had to play during the lee/jj period. Let's face it, the receivers we've had this millennium dominate the best all time list. You really can't go wrong.

Lafell used to have too many drops for me to say he was top 5

This is true. My son and I called him Ladrop. His last year he had that ironed out, though. He had that hilarious drop against Auburn that almost cost us the game. Hit him on a deep out; he bobbled it as he turned; and he practically lateraled it back to the defender.

Also, several posters made a good point about Randle. That guy is no doubt one of the top five. He just had crappy QBing.

We call ourselves DBU, but when you see these lists, we could make a strong claim as WRU. All the WRs listed by several posts played in the NFL except for Byrd. And Becham and Juice will be drafted this year. Expect big NFL careers from both.

Agree, way too many dropped passes in his career, great with the ball tucked away but not a great at actual catching of the ball

Love watching him run with the ball and dangerous

2013 was better catching, started the TCU game with 2 drops and the rest of the year was right on track. Will have a great NFL career

I would've like to have seen Terrence Tolliver with a good QB throwing him the ball. Huge waste of talent for his last 3 years.

Also shows us how many of us know what the word millennium means. To be fair it should read, "of this new millennium." However, it seems most people read it that way. All time Davis would be a top 5 guy. You have to take into consideration though that Clayton, reed, obj, Landry, randle all left as juniors.

To defend Lafell, he was the only tiger this millennium to lead the team in receiving 3 years in a row and was a freshman all sec, a 2nd team all sec 2009, and a first team all sec selection in 2008. He also led the national championship team in 2007 in receiving yards and receptions as a sophomore.

Honorable mention: Byrd

Why does Byrd always get mentioned in these threads? He catches one great pass, and seems to be the only thing people remember about him.

I love how Jarvis plays but come on. Any list with Reed not 1 is silly, he wasn't the best prospect but he had the best career at LSU.
