Apparently, the OP had Doucet &Henderson but left off Josh Reed. Got trolled hard then removed both and added Reed.

Why does Byrd always get mentioned in these threads? He catches one great pass, and seems to be the only thing people remember about him.

Byrd was a very consistent and quality receiver.

Josh Reed is clearly number 1
LSU's and correct me if I'm wrong but also the SEC's only belitnikoff award winner since 2000

I think bowe and Clayton are interchangable at number 2

Jarvis Landry is next. He made catches that I haven't seen from any other reciever I've seen come through lsu (only been watching since early 90s)

Toss up between Beckam and Randle. Beckam probably has better stats, but he also played with an NFL arm under center

Bowe and Clayton are not interchangeable in any way. Clayton left early and Bowe didn't. If Clayton stays 1 more year his numbers would be untouchable in the books. Reed managed his numbers in 2 though so it would still be:

1. Reed
2. Clayton

If all receivers finished out their playing careers it would be:

Reed
Clayton
OBJ
Landry
Bowe

Just out: Lafell

The all time list would look more like:

Reed
Clayton
OBJ
Wendell Davis
Landry

Just out: Bowe and Lafell

All I know is Landry is my favorite Tiger to catch balls.

Randle and TT got a bad hand dealt at LSU.

Bowe, lafell, and beckham dropped a lot of balls, but they also were all the leading receivers for their respective teams for several years. These 3 guys are three of the best to ever lineup at receiver at LSU.

That's fine, but this is a "greatest" receiver thread not a "quality" receiver thread.

If randle had mett. Go lawd it would have been amazing to see!!!

Could have happened. I don't fault kids for leaving early if they feel it's what's best for them. But I have little doubt we go undefeated in 2012 if Randle stays for his senior year.

They got the same hand LaFell did. LaFell dominated 2 straight years with 1700 yards and 19 TDs scoring with a RS Fr, True Fr, and True So.

Yes they had a bad hand, but they needed to overcome that, for all the passes LaFell dropped, and the poorly coached QBs he had, he put up some of the best numbers you will find in a 2 year stint.
