It wasn't supposed to be flashy. It was about ball control, holding on to the ball so that the D didn't have to be out there so much.

And I'm not sure what you're talking about, because there were some great big plays by the D. Sacks, pressure, good secondary play. It was the perfect game plan executed to a T.

Can u negatigers just be happy at the fact that now we know we can win games without our passing game?!?! Most colleges can't do that.

This was a great win!
Some of you idiots are spoiled by a few 40 point games, and now you expect that every game. Even Drew Brees and Sean Payton can't accomplish this against every opponent.

This was a great win! Our defense has improved dramatically.
GO TIGERS!

I missed most of the second half due to work but from what I saw the defense played fairly well.

Anyone who thinks we should have hung 35+ on the FL defense needs a reality check. Their D is good, their offense is the suck.

It would have been nice to get another score, but in reality we were never in any jeopardy of them overtaking us.

I was as frustrated as any other fan watching the conservative offense in 2nd half

It wasn't conservative. They came out slinging it in the 3rd quarter expecting Muschamp to make adjustments to stop the run. The plays were there, Mett just didn't make his reads and throws. After that, the Florida D was gassed and the run was working/eating up clock. There was no reason to break away from it.

The lack of style points and a better score were mostly due to poor execution, not coaching or game planning.

Two weeks ago we gave up 44 points and people were calling out Chavis. This week we don't allow a TD and now we play boring football?

A top-20 team came in and the game was never in doubt. We win by double digits (and could have been more). We ran up 327 yards on Florida (most they've given up) and had a back that dominated.

Spoiled-arse pussy fanbase.

You are a moron. Florida had the best d in the country. We played a game plan that was designed to be effective against them and it worked. I don't call that game winning ugly at all. I call that smart coaching and excellent execution by the team. The defense is coming around and played their best game of the season. The offense executed the game plan and Mett had zero turnovers. The only unit that didn't play up to par was the special teams

How was that an ugly win???

Because a few dumbasses thought we would have 400 yds of offense against Florida.

To me it was a really good win and LSU did exactly what the game plan was to do... They did not play into UF strengths which is pass defense of Florida and they were able to move the chains on the ground for the most part. LSU did a great job at chewing up the clock and scoring enough points to win and not having many turnovers 1 to be exact. Florida has a great Defense but a mediocre Offense at best and this kind of game is where LSU had to go run first pass second and stay ahead while being aggressive on defense which they did. So I say great job and great win.

For some odd reason I dont think people will be happy unless LSU shuts out every opponent and holds them to negative yards total while on offense throws for 500+ With no incompletions and runs for 200+ and scores at least 50 points.

I agree with this post! Most of the others simply don't understand the intent. Your comments were worthy of followup. Frustrating would have been appropriate verbiage.
My apologies to all the arse holes on this board that just want
To bitch and can't read the positives and comprehend. Jeez.

to me it wasn't ugly and I wasn't the least bit frustrated. frankly, I thought that was the most complete game we have played all year. the pre-game comments by some gators and our game plan supplied all the motivation and direction this team needed to secure a very convincing win against a high quality opponent. the, so-called, conservative second half play calling could also be contributed to florida's defense stiffening and the adjustments they made at half time. CLM's post game rant pays tribute to the gators effort...too bad our fans don't or can't understand that fact. two very good teams....only one can win.

get better, get ready...get even.

You are the only a-hole in this thread. If you want to start a thread and make idiotic comments then expect to be called out on it.

I Was totally ready to hate on this based on the title, but I agree, we played the game we needed to to win.

I just wouldn't call that ugly.

What was ugly....was there but nothing was ugly except the fans leaving early. I feel like I can voice it because I was there.
This should not happen especially in the type of game we had going.
