Tigers winning ugly again - get used to it Tiger fans

This is the MAIN reason Miles will go down in Tiger lore as THE best LSU coach ever to walk the sidelines at Tiger stadium. He simply figures out the best way to achieve victory and more often than not he does. Defense was dominant all game and while he could have added style points by opening up the offense there was no reason. A "W" is a "W." I was as frustrated as any other fan watching the conservative offense in 2nd half - particularly w 4 skilled players that are NFL bound after this season. But hey - I wake up on Sunday morning and see Georgia and Stanford are no where to be found in the top 10 and LSU moving up the charts!
Expect more of the same moving forward. Ole Miss, Alabama, and Texas A&M are very, very good offensively so Miles will need to win the 1st half shootout and then slow the game down in 2nd half and "secure victory." That's the way I see it and hopefully it works out this way. Wouldn't hurt my feelings but I will still be frustrated watching the action. I can live with that. How about you?

I certainly DON'T expect more of the same going forward unless the other team's defense dictates that we line up & play nothing but smash-mouth football. UF's secondary had a lot to do with the gameplan yesterday.

I don't give a shite how we win as long as we do.

"Opening up the offense" could have got us beat. Florida hoped we would throw it 30 times.

No such thing as an "ugly win". Time for casual fan to realize that all teams recruit, have off season training, practice 24 hours per week, and want to win!

Seemed like a good game plan. Just missed on a couple of pass plays.

This is dumb. That wasn't an ugly win. The gameplan was geared towards a Florida team that is great against he pass. Miles challened the line and backs to dominate the run game - and they did.... If Florida had started scoring points, we would have opened up the offense. It's as simple as that.

I have the same question. that was a solid win. nothing ugly about it.

The "Raging Bull" recipe for sucess. Works most of the time until you come up against someone that needs to be outsmarted and not out muscled.
I say win all aspects of the game when you have the weapons to do it.

Tell us Agian about the Nat Champ game Plan against Bama...Miles still in the woods on that one.

As others have said, I don't think it was an ugly win either. That looked like a good game plan that was pretty well executed. It resulted in a win over a ranked team. CLM has definitely won ugly before, but that wasn't an ugly one at all IMO.

Of course we'd all have liked more points. However, I will take an 11 point victory against a ranked SEC team ANY DAY. I was very very happy and excited for our defensive kids. They've been bashed all year long, rightfully so. They took a huge step yesterday.
9 points total in the last 6 quarters (against two SEC opponents)

Clearly. Some dumbfrick sat behind me and bitched every time we ran the ball.

Ugly (i.e. frustrating) in Mett dropping the ball on pass play when we are driving for another score, missed/dropped passes by our receivers, missed wide open receiver in middle of field for TD (tight end), etc. on offense along w only 3 points scored in 2nd half. Frustrating to watch when we could have put the game away several times w scoring drives. Defenders dropping interceptions and maybe 1-2 pic sixes. I'll stop there. As for the defense that was totally AWESOME and appreciated. It was great to see them bring it every single down and keep the intenisty going from 1st snap to the last snap.

I thought Cam was running the offense.
I guess the retards here think that when the offense puts up 40 Cam runs the offense, but when we put up 17 against a fine SEC defense Miles takes the offense over.
Retards are going to be retards.
