Mile is the OC? Just like Saban is the DC.

Because miles will still have full control over the new OC

Fisher and miles clashed the two years that jimbo was our oc under miles because of miles conservative mindset. We don't have an oc problem, we had a hc problem.

Because the current OC looks a lot like the previous OC, and a future OC would look a lot like the current OC.

Can we get rid of Steele? I know it has only been one year but at no point has he shown me anything impressive.

OMG

We have seen this movie before. The only way to change OC is to change the head coach because the OC will run Miles' offense.

I agree, but this is the classic sunshine pumper (aka positiger) mentality.

For everyone attacking the OP:

Jimbo - got a HC in waiting job
Crowton - had a great first year then collapsed (his trend everywhere)
Krags - never OC'ed for health reasons
Stud - never should have been an OC, was an emergency option
Cameron - maybe he's just not that good? He's been fired a lot.

Miles' offensive philosophy does not work unless he has a killer defense. There's no killer d in sight anymore so it's time to make a change in offense. Miles has proven he's too stubborn to do that.

Also his style is not condusive to our recruiting base. He needs big linemen and a passing qb. La has skill players and running qbs. We need a coach who will exploit that instead of make it a hindrance.

If Miles 100% let off the reigns then I would agree with you but until he does that I don't see him staying much longer

Because he is obsessed with running into a brick wall on defense. He will override many plays to run the toss dive.
