My place of employment is wearing red on fridays in support of ULL. I then mentioned that was great and all but im gonna be wearing my purple, boy did i get the pissed off looks! My boss went as far to say i couldnt, but i said it was collared and policy says collared shirts are allowed on fridays.

Anyone have this problem?

It just seems lame to Wear LSU gear on "Wear Red" day at work.

Think if you worked in baton rouge and it was "Wear Gold" day and you arrived all Cajuned out frickin shite up with Red & White.

What you need is to go with a neutral color IMO

We may work in the same place. Seriously

Wear a white LSU shirt or something neutral. Wearing purple seems like you're tying to hard.

I live in Texas and I wear my LSU shirt to work and I get dirty looks from Aggie and Longhorn fans. But do I care, nope. Wear your colors loud and wear them proud.

LSU is not their HOME school...
if this was the NC game and ULL was not playing,
they would likely support LSU

what if people in BR wanted to wear ULL colors instead of LSU's ?

I live near there and yes that's ridiculous. I think wear red day is so high school. Should you have to remind people to support their school? Oh wait yes it's ull.

LAME! No way; they wanna show support for their regional institution, then OP should definitely show support for LSU.

I'm sure this article has been shared before:

LINK

I grew up in Lafayette, graduated from LSU. Most people in Lafayette don't mind if you're a fan and a graduate, it is the ULL graduates that support LSU that the diehard ULL fans usually get pissed off at. They have sports envy, they aren't the only ones.

Did you ever stop to think that maybe your employer was an alumni of ULL or USL or SLI? I know they can't tell you what to wear to work; but don't get yourself in a bind trying to be a jerk. I agree with another poster. Just wear something else.

Are people in BR allowed to wear the colors of other schools?
