Any other stupid questions?

This is such a stupid fricking argument. You nut jobs act like Jefferson is the second coming of Shoelace.

How did Jefferson finish the game? What were his stats for the ENTIRE game?

lee has started 1 game since ole miss in 2008 and he looked bad against a LA tech team. So his next start after that should be AT florida. yes, makes perfectly good sense to me.

Think it is to keep the pressure off of Lee, but he get most of the snaps in my opinion.

JJ's confidence is SHOT. Lee, on the other hand, can take his lumps like a man and won't care one way or another. Start Lee, and JJ will sulk and get worse. If Lee gets hurt or something then we are really, really screwed. Start JJ, then let Lee play most of the game. That way JJ can still try and build on himself. It doesn't matter who starts. It matters who gets most of the snaps.

It may be a good thing....
All the pressure will be on Jefferson in this scenario. Now we know he cant handle it and we cant expect him to win the game. But it takes alot of the mental pressure off of JLee, who just might be able to pull out a win without the pressure of being thrown in as starter in such a tough situation. But who knows....

no reason to have a "starting QB controversy" on top of the already-chaos-filled week of negativity.

Also kind of "eases" Lee into the starting role, rather than having his first start of the year be at the Swamp.

Not to mention Jefferson and the offensive "style" that we have with him in the game may actually give us the best chance to win at Florida given that their defense excels against the pass.

This right here.

And for some reason the genius posters of the rant seem to think that JJ starting means we won't see Lee.

I don't know why I should expect more out of them.

Probably because it's a road game. JL had a tough time there the last time, so I guess they figure it would be best to let him come off the bench.

Either way- Lee's our guy, Miles knows that, and Lee will get the majority of snaps again....

No, he's right.

After watching the replay last night, I noticed Ridley didn't run as well with JL in the game.

Why?

Look at the first LSU play from scrimmage. The running QB that can't run, ran 83 yards for a TD.

HOW?

When JJ's in the game, the other team has to account for him. They actually have to put a man on him. They can usually shut doiwn his run, but they still have to put that man on him. That means that it's easier for Ridley to run.

In the second half, JJ runs a read-option play. He reads the DE - and kepeps the ball for an 8-yard gain. The next play is the same play, except that instead of the fake to Ridley, he hands it to him. Ridley then tears off a 20 yard gain. Next play, JJ rushes for 3 yards, 2nd down, Ridley for 14.

Then JJ comes out and JL goes in. Ridley rushes for 1 yard.

When JJ was in the game the Tigers rushed for 188 yards on 20 carries for an average of 9.4 ypc, with 4 runs of 10+ yards. When JL was in the game the Tigers rushed for 55 yards on 14 carries for an average of 3.9 ypc, and 1 run of 10+ yards (11 yards).

That's also why JJ went in on the goal line plays at the end of the game, they wanted to force UT to cover the QB.

He likes a challenge or is challenged? I'm pretty sure it's one of the two.

Piss off gaylord. That was 2 years ago. There is a huge difference now in the way he plays. You can't even begin to claim that he hasn't progressed as a QB. God some of you people need to have your vocal cords (and fingers) cut.

Great argument but we still need someone who can pass. You know, like a QB is suppose to do.

I think you got it wrong; Les thinks with JJ in there, our DEFENSE will continue to dominate. PS don't try to make sense of it.
