So let me see if I have this straight. You are not a criminal investigator. I work with lawyers every day. I also work with architects every day. Hell, I work with my boss every day.

Anyone know if it's possible that JJs attorney WANTED this done?
If this were the case, they would not have needed to get a warrant......

IF any of the players lied to the police then it is clear that their lawyer isn't worth 2 fricks.

Doc the vertebrae has been all over the news. The Police chief said it.

Since the dudes were all released from the hospital within 2 hours, it could not have been bad, and I really wish the polic would mention that more often. Fractured Vertebrae sounds so bad, but as we've found out, it can be quite common and be very non-serious (though it could also be serious).

Always make them get the warrants. Same

Yeah but don't warrants have to be specific in thier purpose, with enough evidence to back up why you want the warrant?

Tiger91. I am beginning to come around to your idea. Maybe JJ's attorney and the LSU admin wants all this to PROVE JJ's innocence.

And BTW, all of this absolutely could clear him... again I'm not making a judgment call, just a statement on why a PD shows up with a warrant and carts off alot of evidence.

Yea, judges dont issue general search warrants. You cant say, " I wanna search that house and hope I find something that links him to the crime". You have to be specific as in looking for shoes, clothing that may contain forensic evidence, etc. Keep in mind, you also have to show why you are looking for these things and why you believe that they may be in that residence

BRPD could have gone in, collected every shoe JJ has, any clothes that match the description of what he was wearing that night, computers, and cell phones. They will either find DNA, match a shoe print, or find electronic transmissions on his comp, cell showing that he lied or a confession to a 3rd party etc

Meh, could be as simple as just trying to either place him at the scene, after he gave a statement that he wasnt there. The more holes you can find in someones story the closer you are to finding the truth

My guess is they found something that is connected with JJ. Hence the DNA test to confirm.

It was said that one thing they wanted to try and match was a shoe print on one of the "victim's" clothing to one of JJ's shoes

Thank you! Obviously, b/c I work I havent had the time to read all of these damn post....
But there has not been any definitive statement about the type of fracture.
Fracture of the distal tuft of the 5th metacarpal
Avulsion fracture of the medial malleolus of the left ankle
Intertrochanteric fracture of the left hip....
This is the type of shite we need to see to determine how bad it was.... by the way you pretty much walk with all of these fractures... albeit slowly, but you can ambulate

Could you maybe provide a statue for that? I dont remember hearing that mentioned before

Don't know anything about statutes, thankfully. I just know that this is always what the police/FBI use to nail people who lie to them in an investigation.

They don't like people who do this, and they put them away.

Ask Martha Stewart.

Can't happen. They weren't under oath.

Actually they were. I'm not linking it, but the report I saw said they were read their rights as a group, and then individually as each was taken to questioning. I'm not sure why they would read them their rights twice though. Any TD lawyers have a clue as to why they would do that?
