Why do you all need to blame someone? Kids dont pan out ALL THE TIME. It happens, if they hadnt signed Loston or Martin or Freak or Rasco everyone would have flipped the frick out. Sometimes guys just have a lower ceiling than everyone expects.

Well, being that in LSU's last four losses, all four opponents scored on their last drives of the game to win.
I think Miles needs to go for the kill like he did against Miss. State. I'd rather be accused of running up the score than losing in the final seconds to inferior opponents.
He could have done the same thing against Ole Miss as he did against State if he would have just given the ball to Hill 30 times.

yep we lost to A&M last year.

Frickin idiots. It's not the spread we're losing to. It's 3rd and Chavis and before the half/last 3 minutes of the game. My gosh -- MUST THIS BE SPELLED OUT EVERY FRICKIN TIME???!!!

Trickle down effect: stupid administration > stupid coaching > stupid execution > stupid stupid fans ...

WHAT A FRICKIN CIRCLE JERK!!!

So Miles and Chavis should be fired because a guy like Loston just never put it together? It happens all the time.

I'm not advocating to fire Miles because its pointless. We aren't rid of him for another 3 years. With Miles, what you have seen is what you will get. A talented team, that plays below itself many times and eeks games out vs lesser teams, and occasionally loses them due to his inability to manage a game. Miles is a great guy and a good leader to some degree. I like what he stands for. But he is an inadequate game day coach. You can not argue that.

Chavis needs to have a fire lit under his arse. I don't think he gets a pass for losing the guys he lost. His success should not hinge on having 9 NFL players to make his scheme work. And that scheme began falling last year. Ole Miss and Clemson ripped us apart. This is a downward trend. His scheme is old and dated. It never changes.

Hell No! There are going to be games and seasons where we don't have one of the best defenses in the country. When that happens, our offense (which has some of the best talent in the country every year) needs to step up.

Our defense did enough as a whole on Saturday. The offense should have had 3 or 4 touchdowns before the end of the 3rd quarter... at least.

lsuhunt with all due respect brother (and yes you have had some great posts in my opinion and I never doubt your fanhood), my complaint is with this: where the program is today????

The game? shite, the game what the f*** matters at all? A game is but a microcosm in a way... but it is very representative of your program as a whole.

What I have been trying to get at for the last 2/3 days is this: why has our program sunk below that of Missouri? Ohio St? UGA? Clemson? Florida frickin state? a couple of years ago these programs couldn't find their assholes with a frickin toothpick??!!! EVERY SINGLE ONE!!! WTF???!!!

before half last night we knocked em back out of FG range.

Chavis must have went for a hotdog early.

Wait a second, everyone on this board last year said the players didnt want to play after they lost to Bama. So now its Chavis' fault? I need clarification on which excuse fits better this week. Was it uninspired play last year or a shitty scheme? What about on January 9th? I thought the defense played bad because of a locker room fight?

Sorry yeah... I am on a bender right now to end all benders. I called in to work today even :-) but damn... we should not be BELOW Bama at least not by this much. Sorry guys but losing to a mash unit that was Ole Miss, is not what I see us EVER doing. Just. Damn.

Sitting on a handful of young defensive players who are trying to figure it out. Also dealing with a couple of defensive players that have way more hype than ability. Not to mention a lack of depth at key defensive positions.

Look, Im not saying its all on the players and im not saying its all on the coaches, but for Christs sake, at some point people have to start looking at the players under performing. If anything I would be critical of Miles about is the fact that their recruiting allowed us to have such a lack of depth at DL.

call it what you want. if you don't have the horses to play your scheme you find ways to mask it. Chavis is the worst at calling blitzes. It is show way to early, and never disguised. I'f im chavis i blitz, i blitz again, and i blitz some more. There are very few qbs that are really going to shred me apart with accuracy at the college level.

That's what happened at UGA. We never blitzed Murray. Sat back in zones. blowing coverages. You have to affect the QB. If you can put constant pressure in any manner you can force bad throws and get turnovers. Chavis always relied on his front 4 for that. When you don't have those guys, you have to blitz.

and i 100% agree here. that is CRITICAL. can be said at safety too.

I did not. I reported the events as they were taking place. I was not going to come to the board and say his decision and take away his limelight. Grow up and move on. And if you can't do yourself a favor and just don't read any of my threads. It will make it easier for you to do that.
