It's despicable, but we need Florida to win out.

I agree... but deep down seeing a guy high stepping into the endzone only to have the ball knocked out on a hustle play right before the goal line is what makes the game great.. and then only to have video evidence back it up.. but the ref didn't think it was conclusive ... unfrickinbelievable .... but whatever.. Terrace Cody throwing his helmet off during live play does NOT require a replay. It happened right in front of the ref with time left on the clock... call it. But the ref didn't even think to go for the flag.. he thought it was justified for Bama to do it and didn't want to be the bad guy. That was even more pathetic to me.... on top of all the other crap that has been going on lately as someone has pointed out already.

As much as I don't like KIffin, his quote about SEC officiating is gold.

I never saw the play that Mullen is complaining about...did he have a legit beef?

I don't really know. He may have some different angles that show it clearly. I just spent some time looking at it and if you made me choose, I would say he lost it before crossing, however I would say I'm only about 70% or so confident. The problem is the camera angles and we're talking about inches here.

The camera that shows the ball is probably around the 25 or 30 yd line behind the play. The camera that best shows the player position is about 5 yds deep into the EZ and on the opposite side of the ball and it is blocked by the player. It looks like the MSU player makes contact with the ball before the FL player crosses, but it's really a guess as to the exact position when the ball comes free. As I said it looks like it came out in time, but it's certainly not indesputable if you limit it to about a 1 min review or so. The SEC needs to invest in goal line cameras on both sides of the field (4 total).

Coach Meyer commented in his Monday Presser that it was a fumble and a wrong call.

Starting to think Urban has SEC Refs in his pocket.

Yes he did, and I just have one thing to say..."Welcome to the Rest of the SEC, Danny Boy. No more soup for you."

For decades I have heard the expression, "you can't just be as good as Bama and expect to win there". You have to be at least 10 points better to account for the calls they are going to get.

Sad....but unfortunately true. I hope that Miles and company are ready for the heaping helping of Bammer home cooking that we all know is coming on November 7th.

Has the SEC sent notice to Mullen, too? This has been going on with UF for years, UK had them beat at UF a few seasons ago and then the umps took care of it for UF.

i know its a rule, but god that would have been a terrible way for bama to lose the game.

with all the talk about keeping the refs out of the game but then get pissed about them not throwing that flag is just not right.

i hate bama as much as anyone, but the game was over. throwing a flag for him celebrating a game winning fg block would have just been wrong.

i won't hold it against anyone that disagrees with me. just my personal feelings that he should not have been flagged on that play.

I figured this out when the refs called the BS personal foul and PI call for Florida when they were playing Arky. They pretty much gave the game to Tebow and the Gators.

He's just sending a message to his boy. He knows the points aren't coming off the board.

this isn't a mysterious call that the cameras are trying to find. This was plain as day, everyone saw it, the camera zoomed in on him running. The play was still live and he took his helmet off. There's nothing subjective about it. Just because someone makes a great play doesn't mean we should just ignore all the penalties on that play.

i know what you are saying, and i can't disagree.

just saying that to give them another shot because of that is just stupid. he thought the game was over. i know that doesn't make it right. but really, what he did did not have effect on the play. its not like he was offsides on the play.

again, i am not trying to win an argument. i know technically the call should have been made. but god that would be ridiculous to make that call.

haha, considering I was ready to see bama fail epically, I would have found it hilarious.

Although, it does still allows LSU the chance to beat them while they are undefeated....but still would have been

Kiffin should be pissed that the "magic" DT blew through his line like he blows through buffet lines to block not one, but two freaking FG's.

Jeez...shitty clock management and a line's inability to keep a total fatass out of the backfield and he's alluding to magic penalty flags?

I think keeping the refs out of the game is a good thing as well, and having Tennessee kick again for something like that would have put a bad taste in my mouth as well. But on a crucial live ball play, where pretty much anything goes in the game of football, another player tripping over a helmet because he decides to throw it off should not be tolerated. Yes I think TC made a hell of a play and saved the game, but it was still a live ball. Anything can happen after a play like that.... ideally what I would have like to have seen is Tennessee get the ball and run it in all while big Terrance was galloping helmetless to the sidelines.
