This says a lot about LSU's position in the league office compared to Florida and Bama
There is hope for some of you after all.
What does Sankey have to gain for promoting LSU in a positive light?
Nothing.
Move on.

I'll really enjoy seeing you guys in Gainesville the next 2 years. Plus being in Tigger stadium on the 19th but being it's a day game only half the stadium will be full

This thread made me think of this:
Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy
Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy
quote:
What is Munchausen syndrome by proxy?
Munchausen syndrome by proxy (MSBP) is a mental health problem in which a caregiver makes up or causes an illness or injury in a person under his or her care, such as a child, an elderly adult, or a person who has a disability. Because vulnerable people are the victims, MSBP is a form of child abuse or elder abuse.
Note: Since most cases of MSBP are between a caregiver (usually a mother) and a child, the rest of this topic will describe that relationship. But it is important to remember that MSBP can involve any vulnerable person who has a caregiver.
The caregiver with MSBP may:
•Lie about the child's symptoms.
•Change test results to make a child appear to be ill.
•Physically harm the child to produce symptoms.

University presidents need to hold a private conference call and put an end to the public catfighting. To have the commissioner participating is juvenile and unprofessional.
Yep.
And all of these trolls from other SEC schools better worry about how Sankey's ineptitude is going lead him to screw them over. Hopefully their administrations are smart enough to figure that out.

Funny thing is all this was caused by foley drawing a line in the sand first. The man refused to play the game in any form except in a way that helps UF.

Look. Alleva was wrong to put the line in the sand publicly. There's nothing wrong with the line, but he should not have done it in a press conference. That's why Sanky is pissed and why Foley said he didn't have a "partner". Alleva gave them that pedastel. All this should have been handled behind closed doors.
Nothing good came from Alleva's comments except to pacify LSU fans. It was not helpful for negotiations and it definitely hurt LSUs brand and future relationship with the SEC.
I am a firm believer This was Floridas and Sankey mess created by their inaction, but Alleva's line in the sand is why this narrative has turned against us. We got what we wanted but we could have gotten that and had the narrative on our side. Business partners don't negotiate publicly.

Florida, last week: "This game will not be moved out of Gainesville."
Sankey, sucking Florida's dick this week: "It is difficult to come to conclusions when we're publicly stating lines in the sand. We can't do that."
Oh go frick yourself Greg.

So when Foley was stonewalling for 96 hours and making public statements that drew a line in the sand about, "...the game will be played in Gainesville," that wasn't public negotiation on UF's side?
You've got a really short memory. If you're going to formulate an opinion, make sure you consider the entirety of both sides actions within the context of said opinion. Right now you're being awfully one sided.
The reality is Foley stuck it to the conference and LSU two weeks ago. When we offered countless contingencies and the SEC sat around with its thumb up its arse and its Commissioner came off looking like a eunuch in the process.
After LSU was rebuffed when it offered a number of plans that allowed UF to play, UF cancels or postponed the game last minute after stonewalling. LSU then decides to play the same exact game UF does.
But in your mind this is on us?
You need to take a step back and walk yourself through your own opinion. It doesn't make sense when you think through this situation critically.

This Sankey guy is no leader. He said he wanted any disagreements to be handled behind close door and yet here he is airing everything out in public. This guy is toxic. We need a new commissioner.

Agree 100%. The media needs to read that as well. I feel as though the Michael Wilbon's of the media world stumbled into this thing halfway through the story and never bothered to formulate an opinion based on the entire story, cradle to grave.

still don't understand how the SEC does not have contingency procedures in place to handle games cancelled due to hurricanes, lightning, etc
TX, LA, MS, AL, GA, SC, FL have all been hit by hurricanes recently. Yet the SEC has no fricking plan of action? shite, we even have hurricane preparedness plans at work.

I have set a personal record for up votes given in a single thread. Three pages worth! However, none of those up votes was wasted on a Prominentwon post.

Sankey just looks like a snarky dbag

LSU made Sankey look like an idiot and he doesn't like it. Who would? He f'd up, now boxed in and he is mad about it.
