re: CeCe's father speaks (via Aubie follower) - PacWilly
not sure why they are making a big deal out of it now other than it being Petrino
Other coaches take heat for this too. Petrino is an easier target because he's a sleaze bag. You can pull a scholly, but that kid should understand from the beginning that it was conditional on numb...

re: How desperate are we to get a LB in this class? - PacWilly
ANd don't forget Lewis this year.
Agree. It would hurt to not have at least one top notch LB in this class. Are you guys aware of any lower tier LBs in Louisiana for 2015 that would get a scholly if we have room on signing day? Maybe they are not blue-chippers, but they cou...

How desperate are we to get a LB in this class? - PacWilly
We have zero commitments that we know of for 2015. I'm a little worried about depth if Garrett or Alexander can't step up. Does Louisiana have good LBs in 2016? ...

re: Who was the greatest RB ever to play for LSU? (stats inside) - PacWilly
Give me Kevin Faulk from this list. But, Fournette's numbers look impressive for a freshman. Will only get better. Cecil didn't play long enough to be best ever....

Cecil...easy Oh, did you notice the toss dive? I guess it's an LSU thing and not a Les Miles thing....

re: Why did it take so long to hire Steele? - PacWilly
You don't always get your top choices for personal and/or business reasons, but you have to try. As long as your second options understand your process along the way, it's all cool with the person being hired. I think we swung and missed on a couple, I think others used us for raises, and some w...

re: Ryan Clark just told Braxton Miller to Come on Down - PacWilly
it's not the QB.. it's the coaching!
Agree. Chavis is gone so we're good, right? You do realize that 2013's losses had little to do with play calling and everything to do with defense and Mett losing his mind at Ole Miss. It is all about the QB for LSU. Right now, everythi...

re: So what is it? What is making this DC search so hard? - PacWilly
People are underestimating how hard it is to lure a current DC for a lateral move to LSU if their current school matches any potential offer by LSU unless their current situation is toxic. ...

re: Les already has his DC. - PacWilly
I don't know why, however I'm willing to bet the departure of Chavis "his reason" is why
I agree that there is concern over who would do the "coaching up". I am certainly concerned over that too. I don't believe coaches are turning down LSU over lack of offense. All they have to...

re: Les already has his DC. - PacWilly
He is just playing everyone with the search.
This is just stupid. Les may eventually promote Brick, and, yes, it may not be the ideal hire. However, that is not automatically a failure on Les or Alleva. There are personal matters to consider for any potential hire, including mo...

re: so what happens if harris wins the job - PacWilly
If Harris "explodes" that means he's at least as good as Mett 2013 so I say we are playing for the SEC championship....

re: Does anyone think having a talent like Miller or Golson would really - PacWilly
When we had Mett, we passed the ball too much in my opinion. that tells you what I think. ETA: I think Miller would be able to run what we are trying to run with Jennings...only he would be much better at it and complete more than 50% of his passes....

re: Advocate article on Cam Cameron after the bowl game - PacWilly
Thanks for sharing the link. I didn't know it was out there. These comments are well received by me. My view is that we have a QB development problem, and that's the OC's responsibility. Miles wants a dynamic offense, but he hasn't had the OC and the QB to pull it off. Last year was very goo...

re: Watching BH highlights from the Auburn game - PacWilly
What makes you think he won't open the QB competition? Just saying...IMO, I agreed with every QB decision Miles has made so far. And, I'd bet I'm not the only one. History proved miles right on Jefferson/lee. Arguably, the only decision that can be questioned would be to start Russell over Flynn...

re: Will Cameron be on the hot seat with another year like this? - PacWilly
Yes, he'll be on the hot seat and he should be. This, plus making sure our OL is hitting on all cylinders from Game 1 will be key. That's on Grimes. I do not think Les is holding back anything. We were conservative because we couldn't execute the full extent of our playbook this year. I think...
