the lower star DB's have impressed more than the 5 star. Jai Eugene Craig Loston. Yes I know that Eric Reid was highly rated just saying.
Rivals hasn't judged that talent to well.

Exactly...do you think we needed coopers name to get Mo Claiborne or Mathieu?.....It will be interesting to see how much of those types of guys was Coopers eye for talent or more of a product of the staffs current philosophy of relying heavily on camp evaluations...no offense to cooper but judging our unheralded talent at other positions like bennie logan and williford I think its more of a product of our current recruiting strategy than something he is doing individually. He is an elite position coach though so we need a big time replacement

I don't think any of y'all know how much this means to me. No lie

All I can say to you Jeryl is if you had committed to Bama you could possibly be saying the same. Saban lost coaches while he was here. You just get someone as good or better.

This sucks but let's be honest, we were a very good team and had the benefit of Cooper far longer than most probably expected considering some of his other rumored opportunities.

He's gone, thankfully he was here, hopefully he's successful elsewhere, and there's another guy on the tree that may want to look us back up down the line.

Just a little perspective in all of this. Yes, it sucks, but let's not act like Brazil.

I've expected to lose him for sometime considering Chavis isn't going anywhere and even if he did he likely wouldn't be getting the DC job anyway. Had to climb the ladder somehow

There are posters, not necessarily here, that have insinuated that this was possible and Chavis had hiss guy already picked out. We'll see. We need to move quickly though.

I don't see a reason we HAVE to move quickly, but if the replacement is in place, great.

good point but do you think that Cooper had a lot to do with switching and teaching Claiborne the position etc.

Damn the hits just keep coming

I'm sure Les will have DB coaches beating down his door to coach all the talent LSU has in the secondary
