To the people saying this isnt a big deal are the morons. We didnt have the best secondary in the country for no reason. Cooper was the best db coach in ncaa when he was at USCe and at LSU. Id put Losing Miles, Chavis, Cooper, Wilson as my list of guys that would be hard to replace. Not impossible, but may take a couple of tries.

Haley too. I personally think the job he's done the last two years is every bit as impressive as Cooper.

No he is not, but his mom on the other hand is, but she understands this business and did say she wishes Coach Cooper and his family the best!

I'm sad to see him go, but appreciate what he did for LSU while he was here and wish him luck in the future...

This pisses me off for two reasons:

Hell of a coach at LSU

and I'm sure I'll get slammed for saying this, but it is now a foregone conclusion that Raymond will be leaving Nebraska.

Secondary didn't play well last year outside of Dennard, but every one of the guys he coaches have raved about the techniques he's teaching them that they've never learned before.

And he's making some pretty nice strides as a recruiter as well.

Deion Jones was a Husker till LSU came calling. That was mostly because of his efforts.

Same thing happened with Justin Hunter after DJ McCarthy left. LSU has a real problem in recruiting in my estimation. I couldn't get anyone to call/connect with Justin for 3 weeks. And you know the rest of the story.

If I ran my company with this type of lackadaisical attitude, I would need some Obama bailout $$...

This news ruined my day yesterday. Cooper without question was our best position coach and possibly our best coach on staff. He will be missed

So Tampa doesn't qualify as an NFL job, now?
