Why did it take so long for LSU to figure out Burbank has 2 lanes?

Why are they announcing it 4 days before the season starts?

Will they give BRPD more than 4 hours notice?

Wasn't that their main reason to make roadside parking illegal on nicholson and burbank? Will they finally admitt they did that just so more people would pay for parking?

After the Florida game a few years ago (Tebow's last game in TS), it took me 1.5 hours to get from my spot in Lot A to Nicholson - a distance of approx. 150 feet.

What are these guys thinking?

"Safety" but I never heard of anyone getting hit walking down Nicholson after a game... Probably impossible because cars are moving at 7 mph max

"Safety"

What about people who forgot to fill up their gas tanks and didn't hit up a portapotty before sitting in 3.5 hours of campus traffic and ended up having to repeatedly turn their car off and pee in a Gatorade bottle under their steering wheel?

*ahem*

I mean.. this is stupid. They need more lanes around there. Think of the bladders! Surely that's a safety issue, too.

No contraflow anywhere around campus and not for any game? Am I hearing that right?

What about the big study LSU paid for? The study recommended contraflow.

But the Alleva study determined that forcing people to pay to park will increase parking revenue.

Traffic regardless of how much of little does not increase parking revenue.

Translation: if you live Houston to Port Allen, you're fricked.

I will bever understand how the hell the largest city in LA and home of a major University cannot figure this crap out.

It is a true mystery to me.

I don't get their point about people not knowing what to do on Nicholson because it's a "long stretch". I was in contra flow last year at TAMU on a rather rural road out of CS for a good 5 miles until nearly back on the main highway to Houston.

No contraflow on Nicholson. Will have contraflow on Burbank. See this from LSU:

"One of the major changes from last year is that contraflow will no longer be used on Nicholson Drive/Highway 30. Instead, LSU will take advantage of Burbank Drive and utilize that four-lane road to move as much traffic away from campus in an efficient manner."

Half the people in the stadium leave at halftime anyway so it's not that big of a deal
