I was in NOLA in 04. I felt bad for the OU fans. They got constantly harassed.

My best bud up here in Arkansas is a die hard OU fan and he loves LSU and the fanbase. He also knows the whoopin they are about to absorb. Not all OU fans are that soft.

There use to be threads in here with links to our OOC matchups forums with OU fans warning Arizona/Washington/etc not to come to Baton Rouge.
Their fanbase sucks. They are as cocky and loud as you will find. I can totally see how LSU fans needled at them. They are not use to other fan talking shite back

There were insufferably cocky in 04--it never stopped. Most everyone ignored them until the pot boiled over and we started giving it back to them.

This is exactly right.
I’ve attended a handful of OU games in Norman. Their fan base is one of the most arrogant around as they’re used to pounding Iowa State, Kansas, etc.
They have an overly inflated opinion of their team, their stadium experience (that one always cracked me up), etc.
They simply weren’t used to another fan base giving it back to them and then backing it up on the field.

Oh waaaaahh. They were talking shite for weeks about how they were going to come and claim the Quarter. Yeah...that was not going to be happening in any way.
