Me, too. My exwife was one of the worst ones.

I feel like LSU fans were so shocked to be there that we had no clue how to act. It was not simple tigerbaiting followed by offers of beer and food. It was brutal yelling in people's faces.

They came down for the 2013 Super Regional and left with their same fake horror stories. People throwing food on them... Violence.

Their reactions to and not being able to handle people chanting adderall at Jon Gray was hilarious.

I’m sorry, OU fans calling another teams fan base “the worst” is laughable at best. They have the most arrogant and annoying fan base I’ve ever seen. Saying “Boomer Sooner” over and over again, yea that’s enjoyable. Also, I’ve been to the Red River Shootout pretty consistently with my UT buddies and God you want to talk about aggressive and annoying fans, OU frat boys walking around talking about how much they hate the state of Texas.

Yes, that is absolutely the general perception of LSU fans from and Oklahoma fan's perspective.

I've lived in New Orleans for 11 years now and I've married into an LSU family. I've been to more LSU games in that time frame than I have OU games.

I think this game will be a good opportunity for OU fans to get reacquainted with LSU fans. Both fan bases have their assholes, but by and large, its two great groups of people. OU fans (at least the ones not on message boards) aren't expecting a win here, so expectations will be low. I have a feeling after this game that both fan bases will like the other more than before.

I was too, and from the moment we met the first Sooners the night before the game, they were snobby jackasses. I mean, we are both in Big Daddys, don't act like you are better than me.

Ohio State fans were miles better than those dirt thieves.

We're not trying to be arrogant, you're just low-rent trash. Having teeth that look like a nutria and smelling like a jefferson parish crawfish and piss is a turn-on for you guys, but for people that shower and speak English, it's unsettling.

Dude,
Being as I travel in Oklahoma regularly, and see plenty of meth heads over that way and you talk about people from Louisiana's teeth being jacked up STFU!
You obviously don't know $hite!

They were a bunch of giant humorless, arrogant, dickholes in 2004. Many of them were wearing t-shirts before the game touting their 8 national championships. They have only won 7. The T-shirt claimed 2004 as their 8th. They can go frick themselves with a cactus.

Texas Football Fan Nearly Castrated in Bar Fight in Oklahoma Bar

By | Associated Press

OKLAHOMA CITY
– To some Oklahoma football fans, there are things that just aren't done in the heart of Sooner Nation, and one of them is to walk into a bar wearing a Texas Longhorns T-shirt.

That's exactly what touched off a bloody skirmish that left a Texas-shirt-wearing fan nearly castrated and an Oklahoma fan facing aggravated assault charges that could put him in prison for up to five years.

The shocking case has set off a raging debate in this football-crazed region about the extreme passions behind a bitter rivalry. Some legal observers have even questioned whether this case could ever truly have an impartial jury.

"I've actually heard callers on talk radio say that this guy deserved what he got for wearing a Texas T-shirt into a bar in the middle of Sooner country," said Irven Box, an attorney in this city 20 miles from Oklahoma's campus in Norman.

According to police, 32-year-old Texas fan Brian Christopher Thomas walked into Henry Hudson's Pub on June 17 wearing a Longhorns T-shirt and quickly became the focus of football "trash talk" from another regular, 53-year-old Oklahoma fan Allen Michael Beckett.

Thomas told police that when he decided to leave and went to the bar to pay his tab, Beckett grabbed him in the crotch, pulled him to the ground and wouldn't let go, even as bar patrons tried to break it up. When the two men were separated, Thomas looked down and realized the extent of his injuries.

"He could see both of his testicles hanging on the outside of his body," said Thomas' attorney, Carl Hughes. "He was wearing a pair of white shorts, which made it that much worse."

It took more than 60 stitches to close the wound, and police interviewed Thomas at a nearby hospital emergency room.

So, shall we label all OU fans as crotch-grabbing assholes for what a few idiots did to this guy??

I was in New Orleans for that arse-whipping in 2004, and have lived in OKC for over 20 years due to a career move. While I've made many good friends, the general arrogance that permeates their fan base is somewhat similar to the Bama fan base. The first word that comes to mind is "entitlement" - the second is "colloquialism". They don't know how to act when crossing the border to a different state - so, instead of learning a little culture from abroad, their first impulse is to "snub" and criticize. Fine dining is at Cattlemen's Steakhouse in Stockyard City OKC.....meanwhile,

"EWWWW", WHO EATS THOSE NASTY CRAYFISH AND OYSTERS???

You responded to my post. Are you asking me this question? No where have I said that all of LSU's fans are bad. On the contrary, I've said that most are great.

Cheers to you, then. It's not the case with 80+% of the people I know here in OKC. Rumors of a few isolated incidences surrounding a very emotional night in the heart of New Orleans with 250,000+ fans from OK and LA coming together for a tough football game.....exaggerated by butt-hurt wannabee star athletes/sportscasters like Dean Blevins, a classic OU homer! That's how feckless hatred gets started.

Always love that piss balloons come up. To meet the expectations, I better go get some more made up.

What’s funny, is opposing fans who get the LSU experience, leave and all say ‘you were the greatest - and not at all what we expected’. I hear that or something similar after every home and away game. Well, not Bama - I don’t really associate with the gumps.

The OU fans in 2003 were a bunch of arrogant douches and I would say the Ohio State fans were the exact opposite in 2007.

I must say that I'm tired of defending LA and LSU fans with OU fans......there's a reason LSU is voted every year for 50+ years as THE BEST VENUE TO TAILGATE AND WATCH A FOOTBALL GAME!! OU fans just cannot accept that....they think it's all about how many championships they've won, and how privileged other teams should be to be able to compete with them. OU fans need to get off their high horse and grow up! Maybe go read that infamous book "Everybody Poops!"....made just for little kids learning hard facts about life. OU shite stinks just as much as everyone else's!

I actually came to this board for the LSU “experience”.

I was a sophomore at OU when our teams met in NOLA for the national championship.

I didn’t goto the game but my roommate did. They said they had a great time...they said it smelled like piss everywhere and people yelled “Tiger Bait” at them but other than that they didn’t really remember much.

Honestly, I’m hoping for a lot more venom than “Tiger Bait” because that’s kind of weak. Surely you guys have better material.

It’s cool to see people psycho about their team.

Some you are pretty funny but it’s also ironic to see people bash the state of Oklahoma. Louisiana is actually one of the few states we rank higher than in income and education...so thanks for that. Honestly, neither one of us should be taking shots at the others state since we’re pretty similar....

Honest question. Couldn't you find a more recent news article than that one from 2007?
