Flying into Burbank, hotel in Old Town Pasadena.

Hoping somebody has an LSU meet-up spot in Old Town for Tiger fans to take over.

I found this link for the golf course, seems bruin may be onto something here. I'm driving from South OC, curious what time I need to arrive to grab a spot.

Flying MSY to Vegas Thursday, flying back Monday. Driving over for the game Saturday morning and driving back to Vegas after.

Can’t wait!

There is a good group of Dallas Alumni going. If nothing official pops up I can try and put something together

Getting out of the Rose Bowl after the game is a nightmare. Getting an Uber would be difficult. Although I've never done it. You would be better walking a mile away from the stadium to try for an Uber.

Flights on Southwest to Ontario or LAX look pretty good. But those are out of NO.

The closest bars are a 45 minute walk from the stadium.

Venice Beach is a hellhole with all the homeless people right now. There are tons of other beach towns in LA/Orange county that would be a lot cleaner and more fun.

Hermosa
Manhattan
Redondo
Newport
Laguna

Anaheim isn't that far from Pasadena (reasonably speaking). It's a 40 minute drive.

Rose Bowl is a great stadium to tailgate and see a game. It's a pain to get out of after the game though. Leave a little early or jog to your car to beat the crowds!!

The furthest parking spots are not all that far from the stadium. But just like any other game 3 or 4 hours before kickoff should be okay. But people will start showing up much earlier than that.

General Parking
Parking in Lot H and Brookside Park and Golf Course are sold by the City of Pasadena for $25 per car in advance and $30 on gameday. Lots open six (6) hours prior to kick-off. Visit ticketmaster.com to purchase parking in advance. Handicap parking is available immediately adjacent to the Rose Bowl, and vehicles must display a valid State of California handicapped placard and registration upon entering these lots.

Parsons' Lot Parking and Shuttle Buses
Parking is also available at the Parsons' lot in Pasadena for $18 on game day and features a free round-trip shuttle to and from the Rose Bowl Lot B, beginning 3 hours prior to kick-off and ending 1 hour after the game.

Parking Lot Policies
Overnight parking is prohibited in all Lots.
Parking lots close 90 minutes following the conclusion of the game.
Parking is first-come, first-served. No saving of parking spaces is permitted.
In and out privileges are not allowed.

Is there WiFi available in the golf course lot? Hoping to stream the early games on an iPad or laptop.

Though most map services make it seem like they're only that far away, most LA travel sites will tell you that you should add 30-45 minutes to any trip to allow for that LA traffic.

There are bars by the stadium?

no. but the weather will be sunny and in the high 70s low 80s so a 2 mile walk through a nice neighborhood isn't much.

Trying to convince our group to fly into Vegas Thursday, drive to LA Saturday

if you do, leave early saturday morning. My friend who lives in vegas said LV to LA on labor day weekend can take 6+ hrs due to traffic.

As a former Uber driver, I can tell you that there should be little issue with getting dropped off near the stadium on gameday, but afterwards you should expect traffic to clear out a good deal before you can expect an Uber to pick you up if you plan to stick near the stadium. If you're willing to walk towards Pasadena it'll be a lot easier to get picked up as there's a great deal more access in and out of that area.

I'll probably park over there and catch the shuttle that's been shared on this thread or just walk so I don't fight with cars getting out of there.

Assuming you drove over there? I'm planning to walk back towards Pasadena and catch a car. Would we need to wait for traffic to clear there too or is it easy to get a car?

Yeah, I'm going to drive to and park in Pasadena and walk the mile or so over to the stadium and back at the end of the game.

I should add I haven't Ubered in LA but in Pittsburgh, but just from the maps(I have a job in transportation too) I can tell it's a similar setup to Heinz Field where there's lots of bottlenecks, so to get to and find someone waiting right by the Rose Bowl after a game to pick them up will be very difficult and the surcharge at that time would be huge.

Does anyone know how well the shuttle runs from the Rose Bowl to the subway stop? If you don't want to walk, you could probably park in Pasadena, catch that shuttle and go over too. I considered doing that, but I'm not going to want to wait for it after the game, so if I'm going to walk that way at the end of the game I decided to walk it on the way to the game so I know where I'm going.

haven't figured out if we are going to pre-party at some bar in L.A., pre-party at some bar in Pasadena or try to put together a tailgate around the stadium...I don't have a good feel for what to do given I have never been to the Rose Bowl for a game...should be interesting...

Will most of the bars in Pasadena be slammed that afternoon?
