Les and cam may believe in the system but that doesn't mean they won't give another qb a chance.

Post-Auburn game here are the numbers for Anthony Jennings:

64/134 (48%) 793 yards 6TD 4INT (4-3) record

During that time, Harris threw 1 pass. Jennings played just about as poorly as possible and Harris threw 1 pass over those 7 games. They gave Harris 1 start that went poorly and decided he shouldn't play. They gave Jennings 13 poor starts and decided he should get exclusive playing time.

Jennings showed 0 improvement from his first start in last years bowl game to his final start this year. Now, thanks to Miles total offensive incompetence we go into next year with a quarterback who didn't show improvements over a full season and a qb with 1 career start who threw one pass since October. When we talk about Miles inability to develop quarterbacks, we can point to shite like this. There was no reason at all for Harris to not get more experience this year.

You people are fricking pathetic. for anyone to sit back after that abortion Of a game Tuesday aNd think all is well needs to be kicked In the balls. There is no QB battle. AJ is your starter and we will run the same, predictable, lackluster offense we have always run. This is all your getting until miles is ran out of town. Best coach huh? He has made us look like fools since arriving here.

I lost respect for Les Miles after 1/9. I have lost all I had left after this year. Admins/sunshine pumpers will be upset but miles is really a shitty person. He may have a "want" to win, but he lacks the want to have an efficient offense as well as a decent QB that will progress under his system .Between that and how he handles his players is a repulsive.

We have heard this for years, how good both Qbs are looking. , how tight the battle is. How they both make the other better. Then on game day, we get to see the steaming pile of shite on the field. without the help of stout Defenses, Les miles would have been gone long ago. Figured he would learn and hire a o coordinator that was lights out and step back. But he insists that he is a offensive coach and he's going to prove it.

Absolutely. We'll hear how awesome the QB play is during spring, how they've excelled in camps during summer only to see the same philosophy and product come fall.

Clearly something else is going on with the Jennings situation. If Harris were smart he'd transfer, sit the year, and get a fair shake somewhere else. Because the fact is that if what Les says is true, that there's still a wide gap between Harris and the worst QB in FBS football in Jennings, then clearly LSU either isn't the place for him to develop, or he doesn't belong in FBS football. I think the former is true.

I'd feel differently if we could chalk up some struggles to developing a young qb starting for the first time but we saw some improvement in him. Remember how Mett struggled early in 2012 but in the latter part of the year, he showed growth and started playing much better. We didn't see any of that from Jennings. He played just as bad against Notre Dame as he did last year against Iowa. That gives me zero faith in him going into next year and it leaves LSU in a bad situation because Les chose to minimally play Harris this year.

Eh, with jennings making statements about how "its not really a competition" and that hes going to be the starter next year to come out and cut his legs out from under him is a big move to put the ball in Harris' court IMO.

Ill believe it when I see it but Im gonna choose to be encouraged by this.

Exactly. Thats why he started Welter the entire year right?

It's the same reason why Trey Quinn caught that 75 yard TD against ND, oh no wait, it was his backup who became the starter when Quinn couldn't catch, that did that.

I have no idea what they are doing with the QB situation, but I am sure they don't want this mess. Cam knows he is coaching for his job next year (the final year of his contract). Miles knows that he will be on the hot seat if anything close to that shitastic passing we had this year, occurs next year.

I know this will be hard for LSU fans, but here is the deal: the passing game looks improved next year, or Cam is not retained. If we win less than 10 games because of it, Miles will be on the hot seat. If it is not fixed in 2016, and we win less than 10 games, Miles will be let go.

It's either going to get better as early as 2015, or heads will roll.

Why was it not open during the regular season?

Exactly!!!

This season was a total waste as far a developing a quarterback for next year!

A blind man can see that Jennings is limited and has no business being a starter in the SEC.

Ron Gilmore succinctly stated it during the broadcast: LSU has no passing game. That's with Jennings playing a whole season and last year's bowl game. He's been given ample time to prove himself.

stubborn, arrogant coaches often believe in their system over all else. then they blame players if the system fails
Why would you run a system where every player has to execute perfectly on every play to have success?

Why not run the successful systems used by smaller schools with less talent?
Hell... why not run the 2006 or 2007 offenses?
They were dynamic... successful... and had more than just that stupid fricking dive play in the playbook.

Mett also wasnt as raw as the two we have now. He had some experience at the college level prior to coming to LSU

Mett couldn't even read simple corner blitzes presnap early in the 2012 season. He also couldn't hit the deep ball for shite. Mett was raw as frick. 5 months on Georgia's campus does not equal being developed under Richt. JUCO competition doesn't equal SEC competition either.

Does this imply now that Aj actually had the job locked all year, which means he admits the bullshite about Harris getting in really was bullshite?
