Early condolences to you because of the impending lsu win tomorrow. It's obvious you want them to lose.
No one can shite on the program and coaches as much as you do and want the team to win.

So Miles wasnt the coach during LSU's greatest 10 year stretch, ever?

Dinardo would have been more successful than Miles if he had followed Saban. Miles still hasn't recruited or developed 1 QB in 10 years. but miles is the Coach and we all pull for him cause if he does well we all do well. Damn I wish we had a real Coach

So you are saying that dinardo would have absolutely done better than the best 10 year run lsu has ever seen?

Will there ever be a point in which you no longer believe he can bring LSU one of those? At what point would that be?

Well.. I'm not giving up hope after one fricking 8-4 year after our entire offense was lost to the NFL.

Does Miles' winning pct buy him a lifelong contract? Does that 07 NC give him JoPa status here?

No. But that NC along with his other great seasons does buy him a few years to right the ship.

You fricking people will be nowhere to be found next season when we are contending for a playoff spot at season's end.

I was simply asking a question. I don't think Miles should be fired after this season. Just curious if he's earned a lifetime contract or if there could ever be a situation that would warrant firing him?

I feel like he will most likely be able to average 8 wins per year as long as he stays. And that will keep his career winning pct pretty impressive still. Even if LSU never wins another SEC title or makes it to a playoff.

Would the most vocal of his supporters be ok with this? Say 8 more season averaging 8 wins.

I know you do, friend, but, there is absolutely no solid evidence to support your contention that anybody has tried to hire Miles away from LSU since 2007.

Well then we actually seem to agree. No, he hasn't earned a lifetime contract.

Absolutely not. We are an elite program and should compete for championships every few years. That is a reasonable expectation. Expectations should be high heading into next season, given what we should return. If Miles goes 8-4 both of the next 2 years.. then that is 3 straight years.. at that point, I would be concerned that he doesn't have it anymore and a change might be necessary.

I'm super excited for many more 3-4 loss seasons under Leslie.

the comical thing is that posters like this one don't realize that in 6 of the 10 years that miles has been here, he finished with less than 3 losses....yet they act like the standard here is 3-4 losses. Lets you know about the intelligence level of posters like "spiderman".

Miles has done wonderfully riding off the coat tails of Saban. I will give him that. He is one blessed coach.

Not if he wins another National Title in the process, but I just don't see that happening. I want him to win every week. I really do! I just don't think we win another National Title with Les Miles as our head coach. I feel like the game is passing him by. I hope that I am wrong! I really hope that he proves me wrong. I say that with a sincere heart and "a want" for LSU to be the greatest team in the country. I don't give a damn if Kermit the Frog is coaching us, I just want to freaking win.
