You may be right. But, the wording of the headline seems to indicate otherwise. Particularly the, "discuss his prognosis," phrase.

But, could just be wishful thinking on my part.

I have a feeling that's what this press conference is about.

I would support riots if F King & Co fold on getting a new Mike.

He doesn't look to have been in any pain from the posts on his Facebook page. He was out and about yesterday after his checkup. I really hope he's got some time left before they feel pain may enter the picture. I know they don't want him in any pain. I agree with that.

Being able to watch that majestic beast roam around his habitat during my years on campus spoiled me greatly. I want my future kids to know and love a Mike the Tiger like I do.

An awesome "Mike." Hate to hear this for the big guy, but I am confident the staff will do what is necessary to stop his pain. Just awful.

Possibly. It just seems silly to have a full on press conference if they hadn't already made the call. Perhaps they are going to wait and see for a few weeks, though.

I went to the game but didn't walk by his habitat. My understanding is that he wasn't in there. Perhaps they had already been closely monitoring him over the weekend.

A friend of mine is on faculty at the vet school. She said it's really bad so probably very little that they can do for him now.

I agree. It seems like they've already made the call to discontinue treatment, and we are waiting to hear how long he has left.

I hope he stays with us as long as he can, but not one minute too long.
