You apparently are far too young to appreciate anyone before 1985 - from your list and statements. The Cantrelle stories are just too detailed to ignore, and from too many sources. In a day and age before you tube, there were those even much worse than Eric - and Eric, was in fact a decent guy.

Get him liquored up, and like a lot of people, he didn't do too well. There are other stories I could tell - one involving Cash's in Ft. Walton back in 1984, but I digress.

That he wasn't to my understanding killed instantly, after being hit by a semi, in the middle of the day, while weedeating, speaks volumes about just how big this guy was.

Every single body part on this guy was just supersized. Most felt there was some "juice" involved - but I never heard anything definite and to say so, would be slander. Its not cool to slander people who have passed. God bless.

......why are you jabbing at me? I do not like the tone you carry when all I have done is posed an innocent question. Eric is someone I have and always will hold in ultra ULTRA high regard. Did you even know him aside from being a spectator on the other side of the bar? I did, jackoff.

....and he wasn't killed instantly....it was heartbreaking. WHY EVEN BRING THIS UP YOU SACK OF shite?!?!?!?!

go crawl back in that hole in Houma from wenst you came.

As I read through this list one thought that strikes me is how if we had several guys on the team like this now, there would be a prevailing thought among some fans that, "the program is full of thugs and we're headed in the tank." No one thought this back then and everyone enjoys telling the tales of "carnage" brought about by former players...we even brag about how "bad" these guys were. I guarantee that if even one guy turned over a pinball table or cleared out a bar the sentiment of an "out of control" progam would begin to prevail. Don't know if it's just some people looking for a reason, any reason, to take a swipe at Miles but I know that nearly everytime you hear of a troubled kid on the team, some of these thoughts begin to come out.

Played against Hillman when he was at Lockport High. The school became Central LaFourche when he left. Ask Mike about Cantrelle, he would know.
Stories I heard are about what you just said. When Cantrelle entered a bar, everyone knew him and they either left or all walked over to other side of the room. That's how bad Art was.

Basically, you are one of the more moronic rantards on this site - would be one good reason.

Another is you have no idea what you are talking about. My stories are specific - because I was there village idiot.

Tell me, why do you hold him in such high regard? Why all the hero worship? Did you get to hold his jock one day or what? All deaths, particularly youthful ones, are heartbreaking.

As I said, you are just some stupid little arse with nothing to say of substance. You have made idiotic comments throughout this thread, as we can all see.

You also have great apparent difficulty reading - as your reply is filled with errors. Grow up little man.

I knew him and many close to him - there is nothing for me to prove here. Thibodaux, and Houma, are small places.

Probably not - while you were still jamming with the Backstreet boys, I had already earned my Masters degree.

One of these years, I will make a tiger droppings tailgate, and make a nice label with Templars on it, just for you.

btw, it's Master's not Masters and Tigerdroppings is capitalized.

Son, I can help you with the English lingo, but that tiny pecker is something you will have to deal with on your own

Agree brother. Been following LSU football since 1968 so can't speak about anyone before that, but nobody, and I mean nobody was as MEAM as Art Camtrelle. Yeah other guys were tough, nasty, hard-nosed football players. But AC was the meanest, period. My aunt dated a guy that played with him and he used to tell us stories about that guy. Daaaaannnnngggggg!!

Art Cantrell was the toughest and meanest on and off the field. He and Richard Picou had to be the baddest!
